gamer.tv
There's a series that needs to go away for a good while and come back with a fresh experience.
Bloodporne
This has to be one of the most consistently unappealing and stupid looking series of games currently on the market to me.
Dre801
Another overly big, shallow, icon littered map having, repetitive task laden, Ubi game.

I liked the villain in 4 even more than Jason Vaas. 5 has the best overall gameplay but the story does get infamously kind of stupid. Commissar SFLUFAN
The best part of Far Cry 4 is that you can "beat" the game in 10 minutes.

This and Just Cause I would agree. FC can be fun but does tend to be rather long and monotonous. I never beat FC4 or 5 but had a good time in 5 for the first 20 or so hours! Dre801
I put a decent amount of time into FC4, but I knew I wasn't gonna finish it.

Dre801
I was actually shocked that I finished AssCreed Origins. Clocked 40+ hours into Odyssey before I put it down and feel I've barely scratched the surface on that one.

Mr.Vic20
I’m always good for the basic loop of this Series. It’s brain dead comfort food for sure, but I don’t mind at all.
CastlevaniaNut18
Fair chance I get this at some point. It really is brain dead comfort food. I really liked 3 and 4, skipped Primal, was excited for 5 initially, but they toned down the political stuff and it was fun enough to play because I did put the most time into it, but by the end, I was ready to be done and it had a crap ending. I never played the smaller spinoff, like Blood Dragon or that one for 5.

XxEvil AshxX
These games might be formulaic and predictable, but that's kinda what I like about them. I do think the series peaked with Far Cry 3 though, so if they managed to get back to the tropical setting and get some variety in there, I'm down. Phaseknox
Far Cry 2 and 3 are my favorites in the series, 3 is easily the best IMO. 4 was decent but just seemed like more of what 3 had already offered before it but not as good, and 5 didn't really appeal to me taking place in backwater rural America with a lame cult storyline and playing as a silent protagonist. 6 seems to be going back to the style of 3 and 4 which is what I want from the series, I just hope that there's enough new about it to not feel like more of the same. I noticed that the name of the character that you play in 6 is Dani which could be male or female, so I'm wondering if you can choose your gender like you could in 5. JPDunks4
I actually really enjoy these games. Haven't finished 5, but played all the other mainline titles in the series. Co op is always fun too. I have to still play Primal, Blood Dragon. Never bought New Dawn or whatever it was called.

Commissar SFLUFAN
6 hours ago, skillzdadirecta said: Retro-Cuba? Far Cry 6 Dev Explains The New Politically-Charged Setting (Gamespot) Quote Far Cry 6 is a game about politics and how radically different views inevitably lead to conflict. Set during an uprising in the country of Yara, which takes stylistic and historical inspiration from the island of Cuba, you'll join the rebel force made up of citizens to overthrow Anton Castillo and his regime. His ultimate goal is to bring the country out of its period of stagnation and into a supposed new age of prosperity, even if it means oppressing and enslaving the country's citizens to do it. Since Far Cry 3, the franchise has enjoyed putting its villains front and center, giving them plenty of time to explain their philosophies in elaborate detail. They're larger than life figures whose presence is evident throughout the jungles, caves, and forests in the open-world settings--and Far Cry 6 is no different. "It all came from a place of really just trying to understand the idea of revolution, and what that really means," said Khavari. "I started on this game about four and a half years ago, and when we began our research, you look at the history of revolutions, and that of the guerrilla revolution. When we landed on the inspiration of the island of Cuba, and got to spend about a month there for initial research, we got really excited about this idea of a modern guerilla revolution. When you're looking at any revolution, you're examining the nature of defiance, systemic oppression, and the idea of how far do you have to be pushed to be willing to pick up a gun--to be willing to risk your life for something you believe in?"

Commissar SFLUFAN
Far Cry 6 Narrative Director on Tropical Setting and Creating a New Villain (UbiSoft Blog) Quote Far Cry 6 is coming to spark the fires of revolution on February 18, 2021 as players fight to liberate their homeland, the tropical island of Yara. The people are suffering under the brutal rule of President Antón Castillo, portrayed by Emmy Award nominee Giancarlo Esposito (“Better Call Saul,” “The Boys,” “The Mandalorian”), who is grooming his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez of “Coco”) to succeed him. To learn more about the newest Far Cry villain and the role you’ll play in taking him down, we spoke with Narrative Director Navid Khavari.
