Never did I dream that troops taking that same oath would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens—much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander-in-chief, with military leadership standing alongside.”

Commissar SFLUFAN
As I stated in the other thread: now what, Jim? Your very eloquent prose really doesn't even begin to address the fundamental structural foundations of the current crisis, of which the Degenerate-in-Chief is only the most visible symptom and not the actual cause. True. Although it is good to hear one of Executive Branch's most powerful former employees speak out. Will it really change anything? Probably not. But it will be fun to watch how Trump reacts to this.

You guys keep setting yourself up for disappointment time and time again. I really don't understand how that's not been a lesson learned by now. Precisely. What "risk" is there to him for writing it? There is none whatsoever. In fact, there is only pure upside for him to do so. I don't blame him for it, but let's not fall all over ourselves to pat Mad Dog on the back for it.

We live in an era where there is so very little moral courage from ANYONE in a position of authority, power, or influence that when we see something that at the very least wears the thin veneer of courage that it's only natural to want to commend it beyond what it really deserves. Commissar SFLUFAN
When this absolutely nauseating shit (and I have really no use for the book itself whatsoever, but its use as prop REALLY gets my goat!) has ANYONE applauding it, we know how far down the moral courage precipice we've slipped: This should make all of us sick to our stomachs. Are they people who won't vote for Biden and also won't vote for Trump? If so, good for them. Encourage those people to vote with their hearts. Also, Trump has responded. b_m_b_m_b_m
Like there's a limit to what electorialism can do (see: this past week in democratic controlled cities and states) but anyone who can vote third party against Trump (especially in a swing state) might be the dumbest piece of shit I've ever seen. Realistically, that's it. You've got Biden or your fragile ego that can't suck it up and believe in something other than your dumb fucking ideology against a goddamn fascist

Pretty anemic compared to some of his other dissing tweets: They are people who "fundamentally disagree with Democratic policies." They didn't want to vote for Trump in 2016, but Hilary was worse they thought. Now they can see Trump's ineptitude, and Biden would be a better choice than Trump, he's still a bad choice. And I don't disagree with their decision to write-in, I just don't don't think they should do so on a bandwagon effort. I myself am considering writing-in a nominee, but if Trump gets a second term because of it I just might lose my mind. I am in Indiana, though, which likes to lean Red but sometimes goes Blue. If enough Republicans write-in, perhaps that will swing the state this time as Trump won big here in 2016.

The book's release has been postponed to from May 12 to June 23 and for some inexplicable reason, the book's length has grown from 528 pages to 576 pages with the delay. If it's delayed any further, it will be longer than War & Peace.

Compared to the IGs and others like former HHS vaccine official Rick Bright who suffered real consequences for their actions (losing their jobs), what "Mad Dog" did falls woefully far short of being a "Profile in Courage".
