His stand up is terrible though. Which I find strange because he has a good presence and confidence, and I feel when I'm watching him, he has a pace and delivery that I feel I SHOULD be laughing at. I just never do.

TheLeon
You still have things to look forward to. There is a cold open in season 5 that had me laughing harder than just about anything I can remember. It aired right after the Super Bowl that year, and I was at a friend's house with a bunch of people (we were there to watch The Office, not The Big Game) so that definitely added to the enjoyment. We collectively lost our damn minds.

SaysWho?
I'm on The Convict. "What about Martin?" "You're such a racist." "How am I a racist?" "You think he's black." "He is black." That whole conversation was great.
DarkStar189
The Convict is great. Prison Mike was hilarious. "you expect me not to slam you up against the wall biotch??" to Angela

SaysWho?
I love how easily this was resolved, too. Spoiler "You know they're just teasing you." Toby seems like the series' straight man, the guy most likely to exist in real life.
SaysWho?
I'm watching the Christmas Party episode, and Spoiler it was sweet of Pam to vouch for merging the parties. I was feeling so bad for Angela throughout the episode. Also, Michael's problem and his solution to it is LOL.
SaysWho?
Michael's analogy of America facing five goliaths, those goliaths including Al-Qaeda, global warming, sex predators and mercury poisoning...
SaysWho?
I love Mindy Kaling's character. She's so bubbly, she's that progressive type of chick who's so understanding yet says things that are weird like for the gay guy to learn about his "culture." She's teaching accountants how to take calls. "You guys are no longer losers, so give yourself a round of applause." She's great.

SaysWho?
Dinner Party, man. Kind of a sad episode, but some of the little gags really cracked me up. *opens oven* "Mmmm, not even close to done." *pan to Pam's helpless face*

TheRealSmallville
It's soooooo awkward when Jan puts on the music & starts dancing to it...I've known people who do that kind of thing, the reactions from the Jim & Pam & the rest were PERFECT. SaysWho?
Is Jan just breaking down throughout this series so far (don't need to know if she has a complete breakdown later)? Earlier in the series, she seemed more a professional foil for the immature Michael, and even recently, her talk with him by that train was a more level-headed assessment of his situation. But man, did she ever seem paranoid and out of sorts in Dinner Party.

GeneticBlueprint
One of the best parts of The Dinner Party is the opening scene where we find out corporate is making everybody stay and work longer and Michael goes in and yells at his phone for a minute and then asks Jim to come over for dinner... "You said you didn't have plans!"

I disliked most of the Andy and Erin goofiness towards the end. I was never a big Erin fan to begin with. I probably could've done without Nellie, too. EDIT: I'm not sure what season or episode, but one of my favorite intros was when everyone was trying to remember if Stanley had a mustache or not. EternallDarkness
Just started watching the show as well. Thought it was strange they never explained why the cameras are there...unless I missed it. I've had friends who are fans of the show refer to me as Jim from the office...never knew what they meant and now that I've actually seen a bit of the show I am not sure how I should take it.
