Good video. His smugness about summons being the intended right way was laughable, even if he's just jesting.

 

Bosses are made into punching bags. Let's take Mohg for example.

And I beat this boss first with mimic and then reloaded a backup save to fight him without mimic.

He has really backed himself in a corner, the Witcher 3 video is going to have to be both a fantastic Witcher 3 video but also a meta Witcher 3 video video, about why the Witcher 3 video has been such a catastrophe. Honestly though, I kind of wish he'd just go back to streaming, and put out a shit Witcher 3 video to wash his hands of whatever Witcher 3 based mental illness he has been suffering for years.

Unless he brings it up, JA just had his first miss.

 

He mentions how instead of JUST the tree fragments, we should have gotten new levels of weapon upgrades. The overall damage numbers would be the same, but now it's split down two kinds of resources. Not only that, but maybe items that increased your stats by +1 (like a +1 dex fragment) or maybe items that raise the soft cap on stats.

 

What he has so far failed to address is that those would give you damage gains in the base game and from clearly doesn't want that. On top of that, with his idea, you would also have less defense. The Fragments increase everything. If you have fewer fragments or lowered percentages, you'd take far more damage. Of course, that is something FROM can alter, but unless JA brings that aspect up, then he just made a far worse system.

 

And that's why I hate when critics spend time saying "well this is what they should have done" because most often, they are wrong.

just unpaused and 10 seconds later he says he wishes they were split into attack power fragments and survivability fragments

Overall, unless the amount of items you need to collect remains the same, splitting the fragments is just a waste of time.

 

With the DLC one of two things should have happened.

1. More than needed fragments. Just like the flask upgrades.

2. DLC should have had it's own leveling system that worked exactly the same as the base game. You enter the DLC and you become level 1 again.

 

The fragment system is fine as it is tho minus repeat play-thrus.
