I try to empathize with those in apartments who are literally stuck at home because I at least have a nice yard to use if I get tired of being inside. I used the first week of being off to finally give a heavy duty trimming to my hedges that got neglected last year because of work. I missed the sweet spot of time after it warmed up, but before they grew their foilage due to work and weather(if it was nice out, I was working, if I was off it was raining). I think this will be the 1st NFL draft I watch tonight since they greedily moved it to Thursdays.

When I lived in my apartment, (with my wife, dog, and 3.5 year old) it was always anxiety inducing getting into the elevator every day during this. Lived on the sixth floor so the stairs were not really an option. Now that I'm moved into my house, I could do this forever. It's completely different day to day stress wise.

TheLeon
The thing I'm struggling with right now is limited access to medical care. I was finally able to get a test done on my wrists, which confirmed that I have "severe" carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists. I have an appointment for a consultation with a specialist in 2 weeks, but if things aren't relaxed at least a little bit, it could be months before I can get treatment. I completely understand why they're limiting the number of procedures done, and I know plenty of people are having worse problems than me, but I'm getting really sick of this.
skillzdadirecta
Hidden Outbreaks Spread Through Major US Cities Far Earlier Than Originally Thought Quote By the time New York City confirmed its first case of the coronavirus on March 1, thousands of infections were already silently spreading through the city, a hidden explosion of a disease that many still viewed as a remote threat as the city awaited the first signs of spring. Hidden outbreaks were also spreading almost completely undetected in Boston, San Francisco, Chicago and Seattle, long before testing showed that each city had a major problem, according to a model of the spread of the disease by researchers at Northeastern University who shared their results with The New York Times.cEven in early February — while the world focused on China — the virus was not only likely to be spreading in multiple American cities, but also seeding blooms of infection elsewhere in the United States, the researchers found.

Commissar SFLUFAN
China coronavirus cases may have been four times official figure, says study Quote More than 232,000 people may have been infected in the first wave of Covid-19 in mainland China, four times the official figures, according to a study by Hong Kong researchers. China reported more than 55,000 cases as of 20 February but, according to research by academics at Hong Kong University’s school of public health, published in the Lancet, the true number would have been far greater if the definition of a Covid-19 case that was later used had been applied from the outset. China has now reported more than 83,000 cases. Globally, the death toll from the coronavirus has exceeded 184,000, with the number of cases worldwide standing at more than 2.6m. CitizenVectron
Canada's top doctor (Dr. Theresa Tam) is now being harassed and assaulted online by conservatives for "working for China," and other things. Could it possibly be because she is ethnically Chinese and was born in Hong Kong? I'm sure that's a coincidence. A Conservative leadership candidate went as far as to accuse her of putting China and the WHO ahead of Canada, and called for her to step down. The current Conservative leader (and other leadership contenders) have been asked their opinion on these comments...and have been silent. The Conservatives are playing to their racist base yet again, using dog whistle anti-Chinese comments to foment distrust in public health officials.

Some of these antibody tests apparently show positives for people who have antibodies for other, similar viruses. I don't think there is a good, standardized test available yet which has been tested and shown to be very (95%+) accurate. Having said that, I certainly hope those numbers are correct as it would indicate that the virus is less deadly than thought (though obviously still far more deadly than flu, etc).
