I fully expect to be closed until June. What a weird week it has been. I have been distracted with stuff in my personal life, so until the NBA cancelled it's season I would say I was about 95% oblivious to the fact that this whole thing was any different than the scares we seem to have every few years. Depends on where you live. I can easily spend more than 20 dollars on a trip to the movies when I go by myself. New Yorkers and Los Angelinos will love this. On the plus side for me, my university extended all of the submission deadlines by a month because the university is shut down. I'm so glad that I moved back to the US from Germany back in November. At the time I was mostly just wanting to be closer to family, friends, and my girlfriend, having finally grown tired of living in Germany... but now, I'm even more grateful I took the leap... facing this pandemic is a lot less scary when closer to friends and family and in one's own country. The next few months are going to suck - for the elderly, immunocompromised, healthcare workers, first responders, everyone... UGH.

Spawn_of_Apathy
It’s been fun watching my work adapt to all this. Last Monday it was “see a healthcare professional if you feel sick”. Friday was “if you feel sick stay home”. Today they changed how we can clock in and out, using an app on our phone instead of a machine that uses a fingerprint scanner. By the end of the day they’re letting anyone who can work from home leave with their computer equipment to work from home.
