Surprised because my older sister is the type to get this type of text and send it out to everyone. I knew it was probably bullshit based on the first person who sent it to me unfortunately. I warned a couple of my friends last night that this was out there and as soon as I hung up the phone with a buddy of mine, he got the text as well. He's in Florida. I knew then it was more than likely a hoax.

That particular tweet is a terrible analysis though!
Keyser_Soze
Just got back from the Grocery Store. There was a long line and they delayed the opening of the store to 8am (usually it opens at 6am). Initially they were letting 5 in at a time but soon they let more than that in and it just felt like grocery shopping on a busy day. They were mostly fully stocked. If you wanted ramen you are sad. The Japanese ladies making sushi, they had two of them so you're happy if you want sushi!

CitizenVectron
25 minutes ago, Jose said: My brother said he's anticipating a 40% infection rate at a minimum. Is this accurate? It seems reasonable over the next 12 months assuming we can't slow/halt the spread. I think colds and the flu infect 40-70% per year, and this is just as (if not more) contagious. Usually you won't get higher than that because of her immunity, but if it's very contagious then it can hit everyone before the immunity spreads. Or you could have a situation like the common cold where it continues to mutate and you can get a new version every season. That is the scariest outcome of this, where old people now have to be paranoid forever.

A vast majority of TSA policies don't actually keep you safe. But it gives you the allusion of being safe. The fact that we have to wait on the FDA to approve testing methods that have been successful overseas is rediculous. I think the point about nurse licensing in MA was a bit weak, but it's absolutely true our nation (or more ot the point, the states) are too trigger happy about occupational licensing.
