Keyser_Soze
This is some speech. I don't think the Academy is giving him another award after this.

Emblazon
Tonight’s episode of the Oscars was directed by M. Night.
Mercury33
That was the biggest cheer I’ve ever heard at the Oscars. And I loved crowd chanting to turn the mic back on.

Guest
So Deakins is just going to win like every year he does a film now that he won that first one, huh? I’m OK with that.
elbobo
well deserved by Parasite, easily the best movie I saw last year.
TheLeon
So overall not a lot of surprises until the end, but man, Parasite winning big makes me so happy. It’s fun following award shows like this. If you don’t like the winners, you can say “oh it’s just some stupid industry award. Who cares?” But that doesn’t stop me from getting excited when the good shit wins.

Brick
So aside from some initial snubs in the nominations, it doesn't seem like there were any upsets.

I mean upset in the sense that we're all left wondering how something one over another, like how last year we were all wondering how the fuck Bohemian Rhapsody won best editing. Emblazon
Well, since Parasite won Best International Film, I’d say it was pretty shocking that it also won Best Picture.

His last two movies were English language films, so I don't think it's all that weird to ask him why he wanted to go Korean for Parasite. The question should lend itself to an answer about why he felt the change back to his native language worked better for this movie, even if it might have hurt his potential box office draw. He also risked his chances for some wins come awards season since foreign language films often have a harder time winning. Eh...I think it's a fine question to ask, even if it sounds dumb out of context.
Keyser_Soze
Maybe it's because the only thing I've been watching for the past year is Korean TV shows so it's not strange that Korean stuff is in Korean language.
