I've read that they might make more Witcher games, but without Geralt. I haven't played the end of the games, but assuming that they don't want to go forward in the timeline without him, maybe it does make sense to take advantage of his newfound popularity by remastering the older games. Having just recently played and beaten Thronebreaker: A Witcher Tale, which had Geralt in it for all of 2 minutes, was really good, so it can work.
