Pikachu
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-11-22-sources-resident-evil-3-remake-in-development Quote Capcom will follow its successful Resident Evil 2 remake with a new version of Resident Evil 3, a report today suggests. This comes from YouTuber SpawnWave, who said it was on track for a 2020 launch. Eurogamer has heard of the project also. Sources close to its development suggest it has been in development for some time - although the franchise's upcoming multiplayer portion Project Resistance is currently being given the spotlight. Dre801
Expected. TBH, I have yet to pick up RE2 Remake or even play RE7, so I'm slacking with my RE's.

XxEvil AshxX
I'm pretty sure Capcom unofficially confirmed this a while back. Not so much as in a "Yes, we're making it" but more of a "we'd be stupid not to" kinda statement. So, I really enjoyed RE3 back in the day... BUT the reason it had so much replayability was because of the Mercenaries mode. You could earn money to buy story mode cheats like infinite ammo and the rocket launcher. It made playing the game through multiple times much more fun. Though microtransactions pretty much killed the idea of that ever happening again, it would be nice if they included a Mercenaries mode like what RE:Revelations 2 had. That one was great. None of that timed horde mode shit that they put in RE5 and RE6.
HardAct
Personally even though RE4 has been remade to death, I'd prefer to have it remade from the ground up 4k 60fps hdr, etc. I love what they did with 1 & 2 with 2 being me favorite game all time, not really excited for 3 nemesis. Those who are though, hoping it gets the great treatment the last 2 got. I'd love a code veronica, but at this pace, I'm sure it's coming soon or later anyways! It had a few, but nothing that got in the way of the game itself and things like this, I think.

Rodimus
I'm also a fan of RE3. RE2 was the first one I played. I had played RE1 after on Saturn. Dino Crisis I picked up in part because of the RE3 demo and I did pickup then RE3. I really liked it.
Bloodporne
I somehow managed to not play RE3 until maybe...in 2010 on GameCube? I thought it was great but back in the day shit moved so quickly that I was somehow "burnt out" on the formula by the time RE3 hit. Really looking forward to this and hope they can iron out some of REmake2's kinks.

Really looking forward to this and hope they can iron out some of REmake2's kinks. I got into RE this decade. I played most of the Resident Evil HD Remaster (got caught up with another game and never finished it), loved RE7, loved RE2, and I look back and think, damn, this generation has returned Resident Evil to its glory days. RE1 - 3 were considered the shit. REmake and RE4 were considered great, with Code Veronica getting critical acclaim as well (though I feel that's more divisive among fans, and I really have nothing to say about it since I didn't play it) and RE0 being the forgotten one, but last gen, its reputation really tanked with the action-oriented 5 and 6 and the punching the boulder scene in 5. Now we're getting what'll likely be a third great RE game in one generation? Shit, I feel stupid not getting into it from the beginning, but I really tried with the GC Resident Evil and couldn't move past the tank controls. REMake and RE4 are near-perfect games as far as I'm concerned. I've beaten RE4 probably more than most games, was absolutely fucking addicted to it when it hit PS2. I haven't played 6 yet besides the demo and I never bought 5 because the demo back in the day was such a letdown from 4. The tank controls in the early games can be learned quickly I think and once you're in, you have several fantastic games to explore. I'd give it another shot. DarkStar189
I played both RE2 and RE3 on the PC back in the day with a fucking keyboard. Very uncomfortable but I made it work. I don't remember a lot of 3 other than Nemesis popping up. Preferred 2 by a longshot. I did just buy RE2 on PSN this weekend. Like $24 for the deluxe version, can't wait to start it. I knew I could hold out long enough for a good sale .

Code Veronica is a great game, maybe the best mainline after 2, not counting the bells and whistles added to REmake. I would flip if they announced that next. Unless you want to see RE: Survivor get remade Yeah, but they seem to hold Code Veronica in some kind of black sheep status at Capcom. At least, I’ve always gotten the vibe that it’s kind of looked on like that, so I could see them passing it up I could see them remaking 4 despite people saying it holds up. I happen to think the core series holds up more than people think, and I think 4 holds up not as well as people think. I also think most of the people who make those claims do it based on like playing 10-20 minutes of one of the games, rather than putting any significant effort into getting into them. Those are the things I think.

Got to the final boss and didn't have enough ammo to beat it. I couldn't reload a previous save without going way too far back.

I bought the Switch version and that will be the last time. I hope. Lol Have the PC and still have gamecube, and wii floating around my house. People ask for it to be remade but I don't think Capcom can match it tbh. This reminds me I need to play more Evil Within. I can't actually play Evil Within 2. It's too scary with headphones.
