Jason
The phone numbers add tracking before connecting to a restaurant so that Grubhub can bill for a marketing fee.
Commissar SFLUFAN
Yelp still exists?

Like if I'm trying to find a place for a date, typing "date" into the search bar on a bar's listings will usually turn up reviews with people giving opinions on how the place is for a date. TwinIon
Sometimes I feel sympathetic towards Yelp. They were one of the early apps that made smartphones feel so useful, and the way Google has eaten their lunch has often seemed pretty unfair. Then they do shady stuff like this and there are all the shenanigans in how they handle bad reviews that makes me wish it would die so something better could take its place. I mean, you have Google, Open Table, a few others, but Yelp has so many reviews for so many places that it has uses in vetting places you don't know a lot about. However, as I discovered the hard way, a 5 star Yelp restaurant in West Virginia isn't the same thing as a 5 star Yelp restaurant in DC or LA.

Yes, I also discovered this the hard way . . . at least a few times, so I'm with you. It's definitely true.
Chris-
Yelp is great if you want a visual of whatever menu item you may be considering, especially if it is an ethnic dish with which you lack familiarity.

For some reason, I trust Yelp reviews more than Google reviews. Yelp reviews tend to skew on the lower end.
