I use em for souls but I know exactly what weapon I am using fkr the playthrough.

Also, I need quite a few Smithing Stone [1]. I wanna dump a bit of materials into the whip to check it out but thought I'd be able to buy those from a vendor by now.

If a boss is killing you in one hit, just leveling up probably isn't going to do much. You could dump a bunch of points into VIT to increase your HP, but all that means is you maybe survive one big hit before the next one wipes you out. So experiment. If you're having trouble dodging attacks, try removing armor until you get to a light load, so your dodge is faster. If your shield isn't absorbing enough hits, try ditching it and go 2-handed with your weapon for more damage output. Try out different greases to see if maybe a boss is weak to certain effects. Maybe a different weapon is a better fit for this fight. Just general things to think about. 

 

Going back to and finding earlier bosses probably won't help you level up much, but it could get you some different gear that gives you more options.

You select multiplayer, the finger option (which you get by gathering specific flowers throughout the world), and then your character will do a summon animation.

Ive leveled him up to level three, and frankly he's been my best partner throughout this game. 

You can level him at the roundtable if you talked to the girl and the blacksmith about each other and defeated godric. 

 

Also, as of last night, I am again maidenless. :(

Been a crazy week so I havent been able to play much. I did finally beat the Tree Sentinel. I then took my runes to the roundtable and

Jumped off the balcony and am getting absolutely destroy by the NPC invader The Mad Tongue Alberich. And I dont think you can escspe

I picked up The Morning Star mace in the south of Limgrave and its passive says “causes bloodloss buildup (50)”. What does that do? So far I havent seen blood loss proc on anything, including bosses.

I agree that guy can fuck off lol. Also anytime I get runes I immediately go and use them then cause I’m not losing them.

Don't even worry about that dude yet. I checked out what was down there last night, killed him and I forgot what the reward was now but...it wasn't some game-changing shit or anything. 

 

Also, he gave me like 2000 runes.

Bloodloss should definitely proc, but sometimes it can be hard to notice. I think it builds up over consecutive hits.

They're flowers you find, typically in dungeons but I've found them in areas with graveyards etc.

 

You'd find them in your sub-menu that has the smithing stones, not regular crafting items.

I've been using that colorful stones Rainbow Stones item a lot in this. You can throw it down wherever you want to jump and if the stone shatters it means you'd die. If it doesn't and glows instead, safe to jump.

It was definitely nothing special. I too forget what exactly it was. I stun locked him against the wall and cut him to pieces.

But I'm one of those people who seemingly NEVER uses any of the boss weapons in any Souls game. Every time I've tried I ended up regretting not just getting the XP.
