So uhhh what I found on the island kinda makes me really wanna go back to my faith guy lol Anyone found the katana in the wild/store yet? Summoning the wolves helps but I did a good job backing off and dodging to beat the bosses. Now I'm continuing to explore and leveling up. I'm getting the hang of this game and I'm addicted. Question. How do you unlock more of the map? I think I got lucky and only opened the west part of the map. Where and what am I looking for to unlock the map? I'm really enjoying this game more than I thought. It's extremely difficult but if you stay patient and explore things seem to work out. They are easily seen even with the fog still on your map. They look a bit like an obelisk one your map glowing ember red. Edit: I guess you can only see them if you've been in that part of the map. Also, Jesus.... Spoiler The biggest Dragon I've ever saw. When I saw his subordinates I thought one of them was a boss, then I started seeing them everywhere, but the dragon in Dragonbarrow West is insane. Chris- Posted February 26, 2022 Share Posted February 26, 2022 A string of messages lighted my path up and down the elevator shaft in the mine, not entirely sure how much it helped (it kind of threw off my orientation), but at the very least it helped me noticed the jump to run to the boss, and beyond any utility it was just a stupidly fun example of the asynchronous multiplayer. I thought enemies get buffed at night and have red eyes then. I bounced off Margit (sp?) last night finding him way too hard and realized how little I had actually explored and improved my character. I kind of miss seeing Tree Sentinel strolling around the church now that he's gone, lol. Its cool that they disappear and are gone forever though. I don't really do anything fancy. I like the idea of using say frost vs a boss weak to it but unless the weapon has that damage I find the items of questionable value. Don't get me wrong they do help but the game can be so hard that you just end up wasting say fire damage items so I tend to do without. I'm constantly picking up gold runes and trash armor. I store whatever im saving in the chest so I don't accidentally sell it, otherwise i sell tons of stuff I pick up. Usually when there is an item I want, ill sell stuff I have, and use the rest of my souls for leveling. Not that I buy a lot besides unique items and recipes.
