I'm going to attempt to play DOS2 and this simultaneously. DOS2 is too difficult to play on my deck because the chat boxes are way too smal to read. I checked all the options and you cannot make any adjustments.

 

BG3 however is much better in that regard on deck. So I'll play DOS2 on my PS5 and BG3 on my deck. Larian owns me.

I was just reading up on BG3's difficulty and came across this.

 

"However, players can adjust the difficulty to their liking using the game's custom difficulty mode. This mode allows players to create an experience that's as easy or as realistic as they want".

 

How in the hell did I miss this and have any of you used this option?

I just messed with it and put everything in the options to the easiest difficulty. There are other options that help you too like no critical hits by an enemy. I will test it out tonight and see if it is indeed easier.

I started this back up this weekend now that my computer is up and running. I’m pretty deep into act 3.

I was having trouble with the Orin fight so I just snuck up close to her with Gale and teleported her into the abyss.

Well I finally can play and enjoy this now. The custom difficulty setting allowed me to set things the way I want. The proof of this working was in the very beginning of the game on the ship I beat the Commander Zhalk. I could never do that in the past.

Yea. I'm researching now. They say not to do a full rest 15 times or more as well. 

 

My objective now is to save Haslin which I will do. I just hope I can save him without fucking this up yet again.  🙏

Lol I can't even get out of the grove. The people who open and close the main gate are dead. I'll try some other way. 

 

I can understand why so many who aren't familiar with D&D can feel helpless in this game.

lol how do you keep killing everyone? It shouldn’t be hard to not aggressively attack :p

I think I chose a dumb response to the people by the gate which initiated a fight. 

 

But I think I'm ok right now with the grove if I can successfully beat the goblin camp and save Haslin.

I think I have a good chance of finishing this up this weekend. I have one more quest to complete for my party members, I think I’ve otherwise done all the side stuff I care to do, so it’s just the big bad.

Question for anyone with Shadowheart's special ability, not sure how spoilery it is so I'll put it in spoiler mode:

Did ya'll use it? I'm mid battle with Ansur, and I think I can win if I pop it off, but I don't wanna be regretful vs the elder brain or whatever else comes my way. Not a bit fan of this battle TBH. His AOE is tough.

A successful session today. I killed all leaders in the goblin camp so that the Tieflings can leave the grove peacefully. I'm about to speak with Haslin and Kagha to see what transpires next. 

 

I never was in the position but the custom difficulty has allowed me to get to this point.
