Commissar SFLUFAN
Just as a point of reference, there was a significant rush of people buying Metro Exodus on Steam as it was still briefly available there when the EGS timed exclusivity was announced and that was around the "beginning of the year". Dodger
I must be misremebering because I thought I remember seeing something early on that EGS sales for Metro were pretty good.
RedSoxFan9
It might be easier for epic to just acquire THQ Nordic

Quote Metro Exodus has sold more than 2.5 times as many copies on the Epic Games store than its predecessor managed on Steam. As part of its keynote presentation at GDC 2019, Epic announced that Deep Silver’s latest trip to Moscow performed significantly better on its platform than Metro: Last Light sold on Steam in a similar time period. THQ is the only one with Steam preorder data and EGS data. It wouldn’t be surprising if Steam data was tracking better than EGS ultimately did. Having said that, THQ can’t be that upset since on the same call mentioned similar deals already agreed upon with Google and others. I can’t imagine Stadia performing better than EGS. SimpleG
Heres the link to the stream if anyone is interested, he talks about the sales in the Q&A https://tv.streamfabriken.com/thq-nordic-q5-2019?seek=74 8 hours ago, Dodger said: Okay that's what I thought.
