Anthem nowhere to be seen.

Man, that's...something.  This leads me to believe that the VAST majority of the game's player base comes from EA Access on the XB1 and PC.

I haven't seen a single person on my XBL friend list playing Anthem. While I don't have a ton of friends, MS also has its community wide feed and I rarely see any screenshots or posts on it there either. I really think the console community has already shifted to Division 2. The holdouts might be on PC.. maybe...

I found Anthem, it's on my HDD. I just hit level 12. I play it casually. Good game so far.

Anecdotes are fun, let me take a crack at it. I haven't seen a single person on my PSN friend list playing Anthem. While I don't have a ton of friends, Sony has its community wide feed and I rarely see any screen shots or posts on it there either. I really have no idea where the community has shifted because I don't see anyone playing The Division 2 either. I really see people playing Destiny 2 and Assassins Creed or Borderlands. But the hold outs might be on PC...or just play at times I'm not paying attention. Maybe...

Anecdotes? What do you mean? These are hard facts! It's not like this is an internet forum where people can discuss and speculate. THIS IS IMPORTANT!

Anecdotes + the game is not in the top 10 games downloaded on the most popular console on the market.

Essentially heresay.

And we can reasonably assume that because this is a pure GAAS title that a significant portion -- if not the majority -- of sales would be digital rather than physical.

By that logic the PS2 is still more popular. The switch is selling faster.

The logic holds if the consoles are the current iteration. It’s not really all that relevant considering this discussion, but it does depend on your definition of popular.

I’m willing to wager there is a significantly higher number of PS4s being used in the world though, like it’s not really close I bet.

The Switch is newer tech. It's two years old and the PS4/XBO are going to be six years old this fall; this is the time when the sales are decreasing. Happened to the PS2 as well.

NO the PS2 while it sold more is seperated by two generations. The PS4 is still current and selling. The Switch is selling fast but the PS4 is no slouch and still doesn't change the fact there are more out there. Those it can sell more copies of games today.

I bought Anthem when it released and played it for a day or so. But I have no desire at all to go back to it. It was fun at times and maybe I'll go back to it one day. But it seems like a rushed, unfinished product even with all the updates it's received.
