Paperclyp
For some reason I thought we already knew about persona? I would love for link to the past to be released. I have MP trilogy for the Wii and I still need to play them all.

Mr.Vic20
I'd say that the delay of the next Metroid would strengthen the likelihood of a trilogy release on Switch!
Rodimus
It is funny I want all the old games on a new system. Then I complain about rebuying all the games each generation. I can't win but play the games. I'm excited for the Link to the Past coming to Switch.
Brian
MP Trilogy is mine Day 1. I never played any of them so I am hyped.

You're in for a treat, at least for the first game. I wasn't a fan of the second and never played the third because I hate the Wiimote. crispy4000
Prime 1 is fantastic. Only complaint I have is that encounters and bosses late in the game become a bit too paint by the numbers. (a problem the later games avoided) Prime 2 is good as well. It's a bit too gloomy, but that's also reflected in the challenge it presents. I think they toned the difficulty down in the previous re-release. But it does have some of the best hidden secrets in the Prime games. Except that last key quest - screw it and resort to a guide. Prime 3 has both the highest highs and lowest lows. It's the Skyward Sword of the series, you could say. But overall I almost hold on equal regard as Prime 1. The closing sequence was a killer end to the trilogy.
Paperclyp
I feel like people need to know what they’re getting into with the Prime series. They are certainly from a bygone era with relatively little hand holding and wanted you to figure things out on your own with time consuming exploration and trial and error. It’s the type of game you wanna play with a notebook to remember certain rooms and whatnot. They certainly have some mechanics to point you in the right direction, but it’s often not clear what to do, where to go, or what you need. To some, that’s a strength. But just know what you’re getting into I guess.
crispy4000
There's a lot more guidance than Super Metroid though. Most often, they'll put a '?' marker somewhere on the map outside of the range you can see. You can turn those hints off, if I remember right. No way you need a notebook though. You can if you want, to jot things down. But that goes for any Metroidvania today. Maybe it's just the fact that Metroid Prime is one of those few examples of the genre that isn't 2d. It's also what I love about it.

It's also what I love about it. I don't really remember the "?" in Super Metroid at all. I know Fusion has them because they force you to watch them. Unsure about Zero Mission. Either way I think its easier to traverse a 2D space compared 3D, at least when it comes to the Metroid series.
crispy4000
No, it's not. It's in the Prime games. Fusion I just remember as the most hand-holdy Metroid game outside of Hunters.

It's also what I love about it. You don’t NEED a notebook. But I just played through Prime about 75 percent last year and it was helpful. Like I said they do guide you with those hints, but it’s not always as simple as “go there.” You might be missing a path that is slightly obstructed or you might not have the item needed (it’s available to get but you don’t have it). And it can be frustrating actually to know where you’re supposed to go and not know if you’re just not understanding the puzzle or if you actually don’t have the tool necessary to complete it. Regardless i think it’s an incredible game, but it’s not a game for everyone. It captures in 3D form a lot of what makes the 2D games great and yet I do think it’s not for everyone who likes the 2D games.
Bloodporne
One of my favorite series ever but I'm assuming this won't be more than the Wii bundle with upped resolution most likely, right?
Rev
Is there any way to reasonably estimate a release date from this?
NeoJoe
If they remake Link to the Past, I will seriously consider buying a Switch for it. It's one of my all time favorite games ever and have replayed more times that I can remember. But if it's just a port then forget it. You should get one for the Link’s Awakening remake. I honestly believe it’s a far better game than A Link To The Past. Worth the price of admission for sure! Paperclyp
If LTTP is a straight up port, that would be an interesting departure from how they’ve handled the rest of their retro content.

That game was designed around the Wiimote, and I’m not sure how that would translate to the Switch’s more traditional controller(s). 10 hours ago, crispy4000 said: You're also right.
