Famously known for its non stop action and electronic dance influenced music - scored by Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima - the series has gained the status of cult classic throughout the years. It is considered one of the best beat 'em up series of all time. After many years, Axel and Blaze are finally picking up the fight where they left. Featuring hand-drawn visuals from the team behind 2017’s gorgeous Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap remake, Streets of Rage 4 builds upon the classic trilogy’s gameplay with new mechanics, a fresh story and a gauntlet of dangerous stages with a serious crime problem. Streets of Rage 4 recalls classic gameplay but it stands as an entirely original arcade-style romp thanks to the expertise of Guard Crush Games and Dotemu. Whether players gang up with a friend or clean up the city solo, Streets of Rage 4 is a skull-bashing, chicken-chomping delight all set to a thumping soundtrack sure to get your blood pumping. Features The comeback of the legendary Streets of Rage series. Beautiful graphics fully hand-drawn animated by the studio behind Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. Classic gameplay enhanced with brand new mechanics. Braised chicken served on a pristine plate.
legend
I'm interested. But the biggest problem I've had with games of this style is getting the depth alignment when attacking right always feels annoying to me. I often feel like I should be on the correct plane, but am not.
Keyser_Soze
Cool but not digging the graphics
AbsolutSurgen
Not wowed by that trailer. Who is making this?
SaysWho?
Totally out-of-the-blue announcement. I'm interested since I enjoyed the previous three (more so 2 and 3).
SoberChef
As a MASSIVE fan of the trilogy on Genesis, honestly this is a day 1 buy for me (even if the art style does leave something to be desired...was hoping for A LOT more neon!) Rodimus
I'm excited by the idea. I am undecided on the look. I think I just excited for PAPRIUM if it is still coming soon? They have been really silent this year.
Mr.Vic20
Surprising, odd, but in! Would have and am still open to original Phantasy Star remake! Hey Sega, while you're feeling free with the old IPs, let's see: 1.) Zillion 2.) Golden Axe 3.) Space Harrier 4.) Shining Force 5.) Panzer Dragoon

The def star
Me and cousin grew up playing the crap out of the streets of rage games and if this has online co op we are in. Just better not suck like the TMNT Turtles in time remake.
XxEvil AshxX
I'd be willing to give it a try but it looks like something I'd play in a web browser.
vaxick
I hope the music in that trailer does not represent the music of the game. Not really feeling the watercolor look, but the devs behind it are good so I certainly hope the game plays well.
Dre801
Wish it looked more like the older games, just high res.
stepee
Man, I love this series so much, but the flash game style isn’t hitting well with me. Hopefully it’ll seem better playing it.

Hurdyb1
It's about Damm time. Hopefully it plays just as good if not better than Streets of Rage 2.

chakoo
Excited by the news but not totally sold on the art style (it's nearly the same one used in wonder boy 3 remake) but I do like some of the character design choices.
Spawn_of_Apathy
Trailer should have showed Axel and Blaze accidentally grabbing and suplexing each other as they try to punch the same target. Rage indeed!!!!!

ohioguy24
Music is what really was amazing in that game and they absolutely need Yuzo Koshiro to do the music to really pay a homage to the original games. I hope Sega doesn't botch this. One of my most beloved Genesis games (SOR2)

Rodimus
I'm looking forward to this. The team brought out Dragons Trap. They really handed that one with care so I expect similar treatement to this series.

Dodger
I was a Genesis kid and played the original 3, so I'm basically obligated to get this day 1.
Bloodporne
Buying the shit out of this despite not really digging that art style at all. I hope they improve those backgrounds, those were one of the big draws for me in SoR2.
