Mr.Vic20
This will assure a few more sales from angry Steam loyalists, well done Bethesda marketing department!

AbsolutSurgen
I must have missed the original news that Rage 2 wasn't coming to Steam... I thought it already had a Steam Page?

I thought it already had a Steam Page? It did, but you couldn't actually pre-order the game (which you can now). As we've seen with practically every EGS exclusive recently, having a Steam Store page means absolute jack!

The GMG page claims to have "Bethesda" DRM. So I assume they will have Bethesda keys. Edit: CDKeys explicitly says Bethesda launcher. They are keeping the Bethesda launcher going. Ubi also has their games on both, Steam and Uplay. All the 3rd party keys I've seen are Uplay only. Yep, you're absolutely correct - third party storefronts will receive Bethesda keys.
Xbob42
I'm glad! Bethesda's launcher/store, like so many others, kind of sucks. Sell it on your store if you want, but if I can buy it where I want, I'm dramatically more likely to do so.

I bet you will have to log in to the Bethesda launcher even if you're the playing version bought on Steam just as you log into Uplay for Ubisoft games purchased on Steam. That's an annoyance, but as long as it keeps my fucking library from getting even more fragmented, it's whatever at this point. Remembering which games I own on which of 30 launchers (not to mention game-specific launchers like MMOs) is getting more and more difficult. And I play my old games all the time just by seeing them in my library and remembering I own them. That's actually a really valuable part of the service for me, and adding a non-Steam game doesn't fix that because if I format or get a new PC or whatever, that's gone, since it's locally stored.
