Massdriver
I'm not going to spend the time to read the report, but from skimming various articles about it, it seems that there was plenty of evidence that Trump attempted to obstruct. There is no good evidence that there was collusion with Russia, even though Trump and the Russians seemed to wink at each other as they worked towards a common goal. Mueller wasn't going to try to go outside the normal scope of a special investigation and attempt some sort of indictment of a sitting president, so he left it to Congress to act on the evidence he gathered. Why didn't the summary state that there was solid evidence that Trump obstructed instead of saying that they can't say he didn't? It seems like everyone is saying it's in the details. Because Barr has one job, save the president from the special counsel, and the only way to do that is to wage a PR campaign, its pretty obvious telling people to lie to the investigators, attempting to fire Mueller, and firing the head of the FBI cause he refused to end the investigation as well as the one into Flynn is obstruction. This report doesn't feel as bombastic as it should, only because much (on obstruction) of it was already known. And that's almost entirely because of the media. In a time when the president and many in the Republican party and conservative news deride the news media as fake news, the Mueller Report is a complete vindication to their accuracy. ort
Yeah, CNN has had that up as one of their main stories all morning. It's a pretty flimsy hot take if you ask me. I guess they are trying to show how unbiased they are, but when you put that headline up with that photo, you know that 90% of people who see it are not going to read the article and will just assume the worst. It's a pretty shitty way to present the news if you ask me... but hey, CNN is a pretty shitty news so source, so there ya go. It's kinda like saying that it's not your fault you spray painted racist shit all over the hallways at the jr high because someone left a can of spray paint out. If it looks bad for Obama, it looks like the apocalypse times a million for Trump. It's such a stupid ass opinion piece. If that's your main takeaway after readingthe muller report you are probably a total fuckwit moron.

PaladinSolo
Its an opinion article that literally has this at the top of it. Scott Jennings, a CNN contributor, is a former special assistant to President George W. Bush and former campaign adviser to Sen. Mitch McConnell. He is a partner at RunSwitch Public Relations in Louisville, Kentucky. Follow him on Twitter @ScottJenningsKY. The opinions expressed in this commentary are his own. View more opinion articles on CNN. It is stupid to have that at the top of their page though, and wish all editorial would be buried a couple clicks away from the main page on every news site.
PaladinSolo
First post report poll is out from Reuters, approval dropped 6 points from March, people who feel he should NOT be impeached fell 7 points but is still higher than those who feel he should be impeached by 2 points now 42/40. A clear plurality formed over whether he should resign however, in March the number was even at 46%, now 47% feel he should resign and only 37% feel he shouldn't. 68% said the report made them more likely to believe he committed a crime, up from 48% in march. https://graphics.reuters.com/USA-TRUMP-RUSSIA-POLL/010091JB28J/Mueller Investigation Report 04 19 2019 TRENDED PID.pdf

skillzdadirecta
Scott Jennings had been trying to use that spin against Obama for months now. It's an opinion piece and not a surprising one considering the source. He's been a shill for while now.

Doesn’t mean the Democrats in Congress can’t have public hearings and then later call for the vote. If more comes out and it gets even worse for Trump and the administration then Republicans would have to actually stamp their name on whether they believe he should stay in office. They have to bare that in future elections on their record. Nixon had been as high 67% before the investigation and public hears concluded. Trump is nowhere near that and Democrats like Pelosi seem more afraid to do anything.

The best thing the Democrats can do right now is start hearings - not necessarily impeachment hearings, but hearings to flesh out the Mueller report. Interview everyone who is named in the report, including Trump's personal lawyers and McGahn.
