Oh I don't watch his stuff at all... I saw him live once a couple of years back and while he was clearly working on new material, it was an impromptu stand up at a comedy club, he just wasn't funny to me. By all accounts he's a nice guy though.

I forgot that Sandler recently somehow doubled the fuck down and made those, apparently, utterly heinous Netflix deal 'movies'. Nevermind... I will admit to liking Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore though so that's 2:0 for Sandler on that front.
skillzdadirecta
Sandler has been making consistently bad movies for almost 20 years now. Hart has a ways to go to catch up. Sandler is rich as shit though.

The philosophical debate goes deep here.

Kevin Hart vs. Adam Sandler I’d argue that Kevin Hart’s film career is more akin to Kevin James or Rob Schneider at this point. Where Sandler just makes crappy movies, Hart basically plays himself with a theme. For instance: Rob Schneider is... an animal... a 17 year old girl... a male gigolo... etc Kevin James is... an MMA fighting school teacher... a zoo keeper... a mall security guard... etc Kevin Hart is... a fake best man... a fake criminal... a high school drop out... a CIA agent’s only friend... etc

Adam Sandler may actually be a mildly talented actor...maybe. However, he seems content to just make movies that are mostly just excuses to party on a studio's dime. skillzdadirecta
No love for The Waterboy? The Wedding Singer? For some reason he turned down the role of The Bear Jew in Inglorious Basterds despite the fact that Quentin Tarantino wrote the part with him in mind. Nokt
Billy Madison Happy Gilmore Wedding Singer Waterboy Big Daddy I'd even consider these to be mildly good movies Click Little Nicky Mr Deeds Anger Management He's even had his hand in some movies (not that it indicated he in the reason its good) like Joe Dirt or Grandma's Boy. I found Kevin Hart's early stuff funny, but it wore on me quickly. After just a few times watching him I was sick of him.

CastlevaniaNut18
I don't think there's an Adam Sandler movie I like. I mean, Billy Madison was funny when I was 8, but I couldn't stand it today.

5timechamp
The Upside looks to be a very solid project from Hart.. Hart and Sandler are sufficiently talented but need a project and directors to dial them back and put their actual talent to use..(I really enjoy the Wedding Singer and most of 50 first dates) Now Kevin James and Schneider, yeah Definitely no talent there.. SaysWho?
"The truth is, Kevin, you're not being attacked," Crews continued. "The truth is you have to just acknowledge what went on and acknowledge the pain of other people. That’s all anybody's asking for. That's it. "The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star and host of America's Got Talent: The Champions compared himself to Hart, saying he sometimes becomes defensive when his wife accuses him of something wrong. "Then all of a sudden you can get hardened," he said, "but the hard part is when you put down the defenses and you say, 'Wait a minute, I'm not listening.'" In the past, Crews has described Hart as a "brother" and said he expected him to be able to "come back" from the controversy. I've barely followed Terry Crews at all before, like, 2017/2018, but I've been extremely impressed by him. I'm not heavily invested in this Hart saga, but I think overall many people won't think less of you if you just admit you were part of this homophobic culture and made amends with what you used to think (or what you may still think). God knows in my life, I used to have instances where I said something pretty bad to somebody, and I'd keep going on with my life, thinking it's OK, or that I changed, or I'm not proud of it but I'm not the same guy. But sometimes, all someone wants is an apology because they want to feel as if you believe they're worth one. It's helped me make amends with people from whom I was estranged for years, and I think the same concept can apply to something like this. It's better to apologize right away than let it linger because you don't think you need to give one or you're worried they won't accept the apology. I take back the "two movies" thing actually. The Wedding Singer is a really great movie at what it shoots for and Punch Drunk Love really stuck with me for quite some time. He's also got some impressive acting chops in Punch. Kind of reminds me of Jim Carrey randomly being phenomenal in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. number305
To me Hart is kind of another version of Jack Black. Lots of extreme facial reactions and big arm movements... However even Jack Black has Tenacious D, and he has found a niche with kids movies (school of rock, goosebumps, house with a clock in it's walls).
