He was 38. Cappotelli was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2005, beating it two years later. However, in 2017, doctors diagnosed him with a Grade 4 glioblastoma tumor and were subsequently unable to fully remove it, deeming it terminal, WDRB reports. Cappotelli, who is survived by his wife, became a trainer at Ohio Valley Wrestling after his retirement. TheWrap has reached out to the WWE for comment on Cappotelli's death.
