CastlevaniaNut18
I literally lol'd. I wasn't aware NY had such a ban or that one was even needed.
Jason
Yet New York's ridiculous knife laws are still on the books. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-new-york-gravity-knives/new-york-ban-on-gravity-knives-upheld-by-u-s-appeals-court-idUSKBN1JI2BM

Have you seen the amount of damage the Foot Clan did in Manhattan in 1990 alone?

SilentWorld
Uh nunchucks are illegal in many jurisdictions around the world. I’m baffled at the reaction to this thread.

Seriously... and they are illegal because after Bruce Lee and the kung fu craze of the 70's, fools were knocking themselves out and concussing themselves trying to use them Many self sustained injuries were caused because of them. CastlevaniaNut18
Probably because no one hears about nunchucks being used in mass murders. Same reason no one knows or gives a shit about knives, swords, or even staffs.

I thought you were kidding, but the WaPo article on the topic goes into a bit of detail. The 70s were a weird time man. New York was banning nunchucks and repealing the ban on pinball machines. I remember trying to buy some as a teenager and was told that they were illegal. Meanwhile every kid in my school had a "Rambo Knife"
