Commissar SFLUFAN
UK Prime Minister Theresa May will face a vote of confidence in her leadership later on Wednesday. May needs the votes of 158 MPs (out of 315 Conservative MPs) to remain as party leader
Chairslinger
Brexit seems like a wood chopper the UK is just going to keep feeding governments through. May certainly seems like she's made plenty of fuck ups, but at the end of the day it seems like whoever it is will face the implacable scenario that the U.K. wants all the good stuff from being in the EU, none of the responsibilities, and if the UK was expecting some concessions based on the EU "needing them" they were sadly mistaken. SuperSpreader
Hilarious that all these Anglo Saxon plans fall apart as long as you don't do it for them and they realize they have to figure it out. Almost as if it's a society built on exploitation.
CitizenVectron
Looks like May has committed to not running in the next election, so I doubt she is removed. So now the question is if her government will be taken down by a no confidence motion.

Farage did explicitly admit they had no actual plan because they never thought Brexit would actually pass.

Jwheel86
Is Jacob Rees-Mogg a twat? I'm watching the BBC and need a primer on UK politics.

Commissar SFLUFAN
The Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, has demanded that the prime minister give MPs the opportunity to vote on whether or not they have confidence in her after she delayed the showdown on her Brexit deal to January. TwinIon
At this point I'm confused as to what she's waiting for. Does she just expect that if nothing changes by the deadline that it'll be a good thing for her? I don't think it's improving their bargaining position. outsida
Britain is on the brink of economic Armageddon and they find it more productive to argue whether Jeremy called a stupid woman ‘stupid woman’? I know Theresa is thin-skinned and was caught on film bitching out the EU president for calling her ‘nebulous’, but OMFG!
