My biggest fear if the Yankees signed him was the years. 12 is crazy for a little dude that’s never pitched in MLB. The contract has opt outs but if he gets hurt or never realizes his potential, you are on the hook for a long time. Snell must be happy by these numbers. Dude gonna get paid. I still imagine it will be new owners problem sooner over later. Baseball can thank Jerry Colangelo and old D-Backs for deferring so much of the 2001 team salaries that pissed off the rest of the owners and Selig for establishing that rule.
