Commissar SFLUFAN
Speaking on Microsoft's FY19 Q1 earnings call, the firm discussed its increased cross-platform presence with the Xbox brand. Now, following the success of Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One's Netflix-style subscription service for games, Nadella announced plans to expand to PC. Xbob42
I'll just copy and paste my Discord response. Quote ...? Game Pass has been on PC for months and months I just read the entirety of the article and it clarified nothing Unless they somehow plan to unify the library, which would be something
Commissar SFLUFAN
Technically what's on PC isn't "Game Pass" - it's a few "Play Anywhere" titles under the "Xbox Game Pass". Presumably this will be "Windows Game Pass".

I assume they are gonna add more PC games to play in game pass. Like Wade said right now the only game pass games that work on PC happen to be play anywhere games. I think that's just by chance. Might be more games that work for PC and not for Xbox.

crispy4000
There's a lot more competition on PC. Games Pass will go up against deep discounts, bundles, DRM-free options and subscribe-to-own services. It's good to hear they're getting more serious about it. But I hate the idea of my 'library' being tethered to a recurring subscription.
skillzdadirecta
Would you need a separate Gamepass account for consoles and P.C.?

Probably not - I'd imagine it would be your usual Microsoft account. If you sign-in on Xbox, you access Xbox Game Pass; if you sign-in on PC, you access Windows Game Pass. It should just work across both platforms like it does now with the play anywhere. Worse case scenario they could have 2 tiers. $9.99 Xbox with play anywhere games and $14.99 with PC only games included. But they would need to really step up by including some really good PC games in there. As is everything on PC can be had for dollars cuz of steam sales and what not.

XxEvil AshxX
As someone who has 0 investment in PC gaming, I'd be pretty excited for a PC Game Pass. Unless it's on console, I haven't played it.

Cool but at same time I want the older halo games more than Halo 6, after the snorefest that Halo 5 was.
