skillzdadirecta
Remember him? Quote Denis Dyack – creator of Legacy of Kain, Eternal Darkness, and Too Human – has announced a new game, called Deadhaus Sonata, from his new development studio, Apocalypse. It’ll be a free-to-play action-RPG for PC and “targeting all platforms.” And according to Dyack, it will blend the best of what he’s done before. “We are combining elements of many of my past games into Deadhaus Sonata,” Dyack told IGN. “Deadhaus Sonata is a cooperative multiplayer, free-to-play RPG where you are an unstoppable force of the dead. There are Lovecraftian overtones from Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, the gothic role-playing elements of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, where you are undead, and finally, some the action RPG elements of Too Human.” Apocalypse described Deadhaus as “a combination of fast action, loot collection, and deep gothic lore [that] is sure to usher in a universe where gamers can explore a dark mythology like none other.”
Slug
I get the sads whenever I hear "free to play" anymore.
Bloodporne
It's probably unfair but when I see "free to play" my mind immediately goes to "oh...what's wrong with it?".

Nokt
Eternal Darkness is still on my need to play list.
Rodimus
Well I hope he just gets to make a game. He seems to have struck out the last few attempts. I just don't think I will like his game.

Xbob42
Even I'm a no-go on the free-to-play shit these days. Very few studios took F2P in the correct direction to make it a system that could viably replace the classic payment method. Everyone starts out or eventually gets too money hungry, with few exceptions, like Path of Exile. But far too few, and the fact that it's an exception to begin with already taints everything else. Just make a good fucking game and charge money for it.
AbsolutSurgen
Can I play it on the one console future?
Chris-
I'm honestly surprised to discover Dennis Dyack is still alive. I mean, I know he's not old or infirm, but he totally seemed like the type of guy who would pass away and then three years later you'd find out and be like, 'Whoa, he died?!?' He IS kinda like that, instead of him dying, it's his career / studios.
GameDadGrant
I’ll believe it when I see it, Dyack.

Commissar SFLUFAN
I hope he uses substantial Unreal Engine 4 code without telling Epic, just for old times' sake!
