The Elder Scrolls: Castles

Recommended Posts

I generally don't do mobile games. I've played Sky Force Reloaded, Fallout: Shelter, and... this.

If you liked Fallout: Shelter but generally prefer Elder Scrolls/fantasy themes over Fallout/apocalypse themes, then this game is for you. I can't believe I hadn't heard of it until just yesterday. It is wildly charming and pretty fun, but with the same trappings as Fallout: Shelter (boils down to make numbers go up all the time) You build and maintain your castle, make decisions that affect your subjects, send people on raids, and all that kind of stuff... but in Tamriel.

Anybody played this one yet?

From Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning developer behind Skyrim and Fallout Shelter, comes The Elder Scrolls™: Castles – a new mobile game that puts you in control of your very own castle and dynasty. Oversee your subjects as the years come and go, families grow, and new rulers take the throne.

I've never gotten hooked on a mobile game longterm but Fallout Shelter was a fun one for a hot second. It reminded me a lot of Sim Tower lot. I'll give this one a go. Even if it gives me a months worth of entertainment that's still better than a lot of games I've paid for :p

I'm pretty sure it just released a few weeks ago, so it hasn't been out long.

Edit: just checked, released 9/9/24
