She was diagnosed with diabetes a number of years ago and with my sister's busy schedule I took care of her almost as often as she did. Poor thing came down with pancreatitis and then ketoacidosis, happened so damn fast. Hardest part was watching my nephew say goodbye to her. This might sound bad but I dealt with hundreds of people dying when I was a nurse but this just sucked so much more because she was such a happy innocent little dog. Nothing beats the unconditional love a pet shows, but I think that just makes saying goodbye so much harder. 8 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
