We’re gathering notes/letters from the community to celebrate Stephen’s life and the impact he had on all of us. Your memories, will help us create a collective tribute that highlights his impact on us. We will be sharing the letters with his family to offer them comfort and support during this time. Here’s how you can participate: 1. Handwritten If you’d like to write a handwritten letter, please DM Wade for the address to mail it to. 2. Virtual Alternatively, if you prefer to type your message, you can post it here in this thread or DM it to me by Sunday, September 22nd. I’ll print them and compile into a book to share with his family. What to include in your letter: Any memory, anecdote, or feeling about step. Any words of condolences or comfort for his family are welcome too. There’s no right or wrong length. Write one sentence, one page, or write a whole novel. Whatever feels right to you! Keep in mind his family and nieces will be seeing these, so let’s keep it family appropriate . Here’s some optional writing prompts from ChatGPT if you need inspiration. By no means do you have to do all of these! Feel free to use as inspiration, or ignore all together: Favorite Memory: Share a specific memory or experience you had with Stepee that made a lasting impression on you. Personal Impact: Describe how Stepee influenced your life or the community. What lessons did you learn from him? Favorite Traits: Highlight the qualities or traits of Stepee that you admired the most. Shared Moments: Recount a moment or conversation you shared with Stepee that you found particularly meaningful or memorable. Community Impact: Reflect on the ways Stepee made a difference in the d1p community. Inspiration: Discuss how Stepee inspired you or motivated you to be a better person. First Impressions: Describe your first encounter with Stepee. What stood out to you about him? Special Skills or Interests: Share any particular skills or interests Stepee had that you found impressive or unique. Humor and Joy: Reflect on any humorous or joyful moments you shared with Stepee that brought laughter and light to your interactions. Supportive Moments: Recall times when Stepee provided support or encouragement to you or others. Advice or Wisdom: Share any advice or wisdom Stepee gave you that has stuck with you over the years. Words of Comfort: Provide words of comfort or solace to Stepee’s family, drawing on your own experiences and feelings. You can sign your message with either your real name or your d1p username, whichever you prefer. Like I just totally shut the hell down, disassociate, distract myself, like I can't bear to be present in it's presence. He's at Virginia Beach Virginia Apartments #169 across the street from the Duncan Donuts. But yes I'll probably PM him and send a card there.
