While (almost) everyone hit their Week 1 wager on the Feature Game, it was AbsolutSurgen who dominated the questions. Being the only player to score the Q5 bonus propels him into sole possession of 1st place after one week!  How long will he be able to hang on to it?

 

########## Week 1 Results ##########

 

Feature Game: LA Rams (+3.5) @ Detroit Lions
The Rams aren't quite able to make up the spread, losing to the Lions by a score of 23.5(20+3.5)-26.  Bets on Detroit win.

 

QUESTIONS
1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Rams TD, Rams FG, Rams safety, Lions TD, Lions FG, Lions safety, or other? ($200 for the correct call)
A 1st quarter Karty field goal for the Rams were the first points on the game.  LA FG is the call.  Nobody got this one.

 

2) How many total passing yards (both teams) will be thrown in the Feature Game? Under 200, 200-300, 301-400, 401-500, 501-600, or 600+.  ($200 for the right answer)

With LA putting up 304 passing yards and Detroit 200, a total of 504 makes 501-600 the right guess.

 

3) Which team will score first in the season opener Thursday night, Baltimore or Kansas City? ($100 for the right answer)
Derrick Henry scored the first points of the 2024 season for the Ravens with a 5 yard rushing touchdown score.  Baltimore is the call.

 

4) Name the quarterback that will have the most rushing yards in Week 1. ($300 for the right player)
Shock of shocks, Lamar Jackson gets this one with 122 yards beating not only every other QB (J.Daniels was 2nd with 88), but also beating all but 3 RBs. o_O

 

5) Call the winners:
Green Bay at Philadelphia
Minnesota at New York Giants
Houston at Indianapolis
($100 for each correctly named winner, $200 bonus if you hit all 3)
Lots of players got 2/3, but only AbsolutSurgen nailed all 3 to earn the bonus!

(Remember you are betting against the spread, not just the outright winner)

2) Which team in the Feature Game will win the time of possession battle? ($200 for the right answer)

 

3) Which team will score LAST in NY Giants @ Washington? ($200 for the correct team)

 

4) Chicago @ Houston - Over/under 45.5 points? ($200 for the right guess)

Cleveland at Jacksonville
LA Chargers at Carolina
