With or WITHOUT a wireless controller. Which my steam deck see’s my controller as a switch pro. Bad sign already obviously

But it’s messing with my head and can’t get around it. I’ve tried settings and templates and community layouts. Nothing works.

what to do???

Learn which buttons do what and press them.

Also it’s a lie anyhow. Y according to my game is supposed to be ACCIO. It’s not

it’s Lumose

X is Accio and Y is lumose

It’s even lying to me on ALL accounts

I didn't have these problems. -- controller on Hogwart's worked fine for me.

When you go into your controller settings on the deck, what do you see?  [I assume you've ensured the controller settings are "using the default settings" and/or tried to fix it in the controller configurator.]

The button layout of the Xbox controller in general pisses me off.  Swapping A/B and X/Y to avoid Nintendo copyright infringement or some bs.

SNES style or bust.  They got the colors wrong still, but perhaps you have Nintendo layout switched on in Steam.

The colors are all wrong here, but Y should be on the left.

Y is the standard top button.  Sega, Valve, ASUS and Microsoft agree.

No, Y is the run button in Super Mario World.  It’s on the left.

I will die on this hill.  Fuck ass backward modernity.

If you start saying that the button on the right is to confirm a menu item, and the bottom button is cancel, I will no longer be able to guarantee your safety.
