I strongly disapprove of Jardiance being on this list because of how fucking annoying their commercials are.

Direct to consumer advertising should be illegal. I’m happy to see Jardiance on the list. It’s an incredible drug.

Yep. Banned up here. Or rather, you can advertise the name of a drug, but not what it does. So you only see some ass for drugs that already have name recognition. Like, a 30-second clip of an old guy who is happy skipping in the park, followed by "ask your doctor about Cialis." lol

So there are basically no drug ads, which is nice. It's shocking when you visit the states and see what is advertised on TV. Huge culture shock.

I believe it’s just the US and New Zealand that allow DTC ads.

Evening more shocking when you have even an iota of medical knowledge and realize that extremely complex medical conditions and heavy duty drugs are distilled into some marketing psycho’s 60 second wet dream of an ad. Bleck.

Did the negotiations include that they can't just increase what they charge private insurers to cover the difference?

Private insurance already has negotiated rates, the federal government doing it is new, since they couldn't before, but was included in the inflation reduction act.

The real culture shock is that you old fucks still watch TV!

This shit has wormed its way into streaming services too, I’m pretty sure. Or maybe I recall seeing the ads while watching football last year. That’s about the only thing TV is good for anymore. Unless you have zero money, then the “free TV” (Pluto, etc.) are godsends.

You know your policy is good when Trump is trying to take credit for it.
