Is anyone else planning on being cryogenically frozen?

Even in some future where they figure out how to thaw out a corpse, reverse the freezing damage, and bring you back to life…

…why the fuck would they?  Oh yeah, let’s thaw out this person with no family, no home, no job, no worthwhile skills, and no context for the modern world at all.  If anything, it sounds like a horrifically cruel prank to pull on someone.  Surprise motherfucker!  It’s 200 years later and now you’re homeless in a world that doesn’t want you and everyone you know has been dead for centuries!  Go fuck yourself chump!

lol at you guys assuming that there won’t be a nuclear war that brings about an end to humanity besides those of us left in cryogenic chambers and then aliens eventually discover us and bring us back with their advanced technology and worship us as ancient gods

Worship us as gods OR keep us as sex slaves. Either way, it’s better than what we’ve got right now.

Frozen human corpses being revived by aliens scouring the dead remains of earth is actually a more likely situation than the people of the future wanting some 2020’s dipshit running around.

Even in the future someone will want to make a quick buck. They will stick your year 2000 ass in a zoo or museum of oddities and use you as an attraction.

We'll treat us like we treated Ishi

Quote

Ishi (c. 1861 – March 25, 1916) was the last known member of the Native American Yahi people from the present-day state of California in the United States. The rest of the Yahi (as well as many members of their parent tribe, the Yana) were killed in the California genocide in the 19th century.

Ishi was taken in by anthropologists at the University of California, Berkeley, who both studied him and hired him as a janitor. He lived most of his remaining five years in a university building in San Francisco.

Ishi died of tuberculosis on March 25, 1916.[48][49][1][50][51] It is said that his last words were, "You stay. I go."[52] Kroeber, who was in New York at the time of Ishi's final illness, tried to prevent an autopsy on his body, sending letters and telegrams strongly stating his objections. He believed Yahi tradition called for the body to remain intact. However, Saxton Pope, following hospital protocol, performed the autopsy regardless.[53]  Ishi's brain was preserved and his body cremated, in the mistaken belief that cremation was the traditional Yahi practice.

Kroeber sent Ishi's preserved brain to the Smithsonian Institution in 1917. It was held there until August 10, 2000,
