Harris campaign is flooding the airwaves across all battlegrounds, while also transferring 25 million to down allot races, the gop is absolutely at a money disadvantage. They are literally putting everything onto winning PA and GA, but Harris is still matching them there.

Β

I understand PA and GA are big swing states, but why are those the only two they're really focusing on?

They're the biggest ones up for grabs, but I'd argue NC and AZ are both in that category as well.

Β

1. They don't have as much money as the Harris campaign so they have to cut somewhere.

Β

2. PA is probably the tipping point state in this election. GA is still a sore spot for them because up until Joe won it in 2020 it was seen as a fairly safe Lean Republican state. They also both have lots of EV.

Β

3. AZ and NC are likely being neglected because they are the two swing states Trump is polling the best in. NV likely because it has the least EV. And MI and WI are interesting because they are Blue Wall states that swung Trump in 2016. Such low spending in those two states shows a stark difference from just a couple months ago where Trump was considered the favorite. This spending now suggests his campaign essentially believes he has no path other than winning PA and all the Sun Belt states, to just barely put him over 270.

Β

Β

If you are asking if this is Trump campaign being stupid I don't think so. This is Trump campaign doing the best with what they've got.

Under a new state law, Louisiana doctors might not be able to quickly access one of the most widely used life-saving medications for pregnant women.

Β

For context, the numbskulls in LA have reclassified misoprostol into the same DEA schedule as Xanax and tramadol.Β

Every passing election I grow to hate the electoral college even more. It’s time to get rid of that garbage.Β

I've never liked the damn thing. Even if you nix the "democrats would be ahead most of the time" part, it just represents the actual will of the PEOPLE more than otherwise. It ain't the 1700s anymore, every American (well, almost, thanks voter suppression efforts!) can go out and cast a ballot. Do the same for governors, too. No more gerrymandered bullshit. It's so infuriating.

National level Dems going YIMBY this cycle is probably not a coincidence:

So basically the Democrats can't win in this environment unless they.take Texas.

We can also expand the size of the house to mitigate this somewhat. It’s worth noting that CA (and some other blue states other than IL iirc) gained population in the last census while losing congressional seats
