Stealing this photo from a thread on resetera about a tool to remove post processing effects from games, but wanted to just single this one out to demonstrate how important lighting is to games:

 

Here is Ghosts with the lighting removed:

THIS is why I’m always focused on good lighting! It’s the most important thing to a games image.

Pretty sure this has more than lighting removed unless the term "lighting" is being used very liberally.

It would include shadows, reflections, ao, light shafts, and all that not just illumination most likely - but still shows you how say even an older game could look amazing when path traced and including all that. Bring on the RTX remix projects!
