Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - PS4 remaster - 9/10 - still a really fun game that holds up. I recall 3 being the least favorite of the series. The remaster is nice. Kinda forgot how short these games are.

2024 games:

Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World - GBA

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia - 3DS

Super Mario Bros Wonder - Switch

Spider-Man 2 - PS5

Dying Light 2 - PC

Silent Hill: Homecoming - PS3

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered - PS4

The Uncharted games are some of my favorites, I especially like 2, 4 and The Lost Legacy. Have you played The Lost Legacy? I don’t feel that it gets the attention that it deserves since it’s considered a side game/spin-off, but it’s my third favorite game in the series. Uncharted 3 is my least favorite, but it’s still good just not as good as the others IMO.

Yep, I’ve beaten every game in the series, including the Vita entry. I’m planning on replying them all, except that one.

That's it for the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection. JP for SNES is the best and the reason I got the collection (though the back tracking when you don't have the right key card or the right gate open can be annoying). JP for NES and GB are basically the same game and are good. JP2 for GB is the best of the sequels and side scrollers. JP2 for SNES was kind of long and annoying but I still liked it better than the Genesis games. I liked Rampage Edition slightly a bit more than the first Genesis game. I did finish the SNES version of JP back in the day but I'm really glad the collection includes rewind and save states (though I hate how you only get 1 save state, especially with JP II (SNES)'s timed levels it would have been nice to have at least 2).

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Resmaster - PS4 - 9/10 - Haven't played it since it first released, so about 15 years. Only real complaint is Drake's still clunky when platforming sometimes. Still an amazing game.

I still have some challenges that I might try to finish in 8-Bit Armies but I finished both campaigns. It's repetitive and doesn't have cheezy cutscenes like C&C but it was still enjoyable.

Got all the stars in the campaigns and played a some skirmishes.

Some of the games are fairly current. There are so many games to play, so I don't mind waiting for discounts and I like indie and retro games. Those kinds of games tend to be shorter too, so it makes it easier to finish a lot of them so that they dominate the list.

VonGarland Castle: Sacrilege of the Night

VonGarland is like a traditional Castlevania with a bit of Metroid and Mega Man X. It's pretty good but without a guide I can't be bothered to look for anymore secrets even though it seems there are a lot of them left. Since I was well stocked up on Wall Roasted Chicken and Steamed Ham, my only deaths were cheap ones like pits and enemies that killed me in 2 or 3 rapid hits. When you die you lose all your money :|

Man, it was cool to finally play the Apollo Justice trilogy (and despite the name, Spirit of Justice is about Apollo even if Phoenix gets plenty of screen time), but it was also sad to be finished. At least the Miles Edgeworth duology is coming out, and then hopefully a fresh sequel to either Ace or Great Ace.

Minishoot' Adventures

Finished Minishoot' Adventures, oh wait not yet, now I have, oh wait still not yet, this time for real. Except I started over on Advanced difficulty with the goal of just finishing the main game. Then the plan is to play on the lowest difficulty to get that last arena achievement but then after finishing Advanced I realized I could just lower the difficulty and do the postgame stuff without a whole third play through.

I really liked it.  Its mad-libs approach to a mystery adventure game is nearly perfect.  My only major gripe is that there's so many clues or event timeline orderings that can be completely lost on you, but you can still semi-brute force things with general deduction skills.  Reading summaries by the end, there was definitely things I didn't pick up on especially in the last chapter, but a lot of it is ultimately splitting hairs.  The plot is quite fun on the whole, its through lines hits supernatural elements, flawed utopian philosophies, cult infiltration, classic dinner party murders, sieges, etc.  Saw the final twist coming a mile away, but it's a game that's more about the journey anyways.

I ran into a bug a few times on iPad where it solving one part of a required 'book' took me to the win state prematurely.  This ultimately made filing out the rest of the scene easier the two or three times it happened.  I'd venture to guess its solved on PC, and the tablet version didn't get the same amount of testing.  Otherwise, the drag and drop mechanic works just fine there.

Kitsune Tails Zero - This is actually dlc for Super Bernie World and I think mostly a reskin with some (badly) voice acted cut scenes and stuff to line it up for Kitsune Tails which is a sequel. I did not realize this franchise started as a Bernie fan game but either way it’s good stuff. Only 4 worlds and then a bonus world, three levels each. Can get a little tricky at the end. But it’s fun and it looks great. Just started Kitsune Tails now.

Worth the $5 I think if you plan to get Kitsune Tails, or bundled with it when it goes on sale etc.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - 9/10 - I love this game, but hate Sam. I just want to punch him every time he talks. Still a pretty great ending to Drake's story, assuming we don't get another Nathan Drake game. I played it on PC.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - 8/10 - replayed it on PC and it holds up. Really enjoyed the banter with Chloe and Nadine. Finally done with replayed all the Uncharted games except the Vita(don't wanna get another copy for Vita and replay that one). Kinda crazy I played all those back to back in just over a month.

I just started up Uncharted 4 this morning. Surprisingly as much as I love Naughty Dog I have only beaten this once way back in 2016. So I completely forget the 2nd half of this game.

I'm not a big fan of Sam myself but not to the point you did.

Thankfully Nate is really charismatic and leads the dialogue most times. This still is extremely impressive and I'm playing on my OLED Deck.

Kaze is great. Challenging but not too hard (except for those few achievements I didn't get). It's like DKC but I'm glad they did away with limited lives. Other than all those times I died from unintentional ground pounds while over a pit I basically don't have any complaints. Most of my time trials scores weren't great but I managed 216th on one level. I really like that they put some thought into things like having the game auto-pause when your controller stops responding. Once the game failed to load properly and a couple times I had controller issues but it was mostly fine. It set the bar high for Windswept.
