I try to check the YouTube videos because I haven't had Max or HBO streaming for awhile.

The only reason I subscribe to their YouTube channel is essentially to get alerts when they put a new episode out, since I can't keep up with all of their sabbaticals.

Side note: it is pretty dope that they put the "main story" of each episode on YouTube for free the minute it gets uploaded to HBO

Sucks that we missed out on so many potential topics, that pet insurance one in particular got my attention. Well, hopefully in the future 3 years they'll get around to it?

Yea, the pet insurance thing is something I really want to see as I’ve been debating on getting it for my puppy.

I've been trying to tell my company for years to include such an insurance for their employees as more than most of us have pets & love animals in general. Considering how ubiquitous it is having a pet is, you'd think that the want & need for more widely available pet insurance would be a thing, yet it seems as though it's grim to go out on one's own to get some. Luckily I have 5 cats & they're all indoor, so to that end they don't NEED to go to the vet all that often, thankfully.

Part of the problem with pet insurance is that the premiums change wildly based on the breed, the age you first get the insurance at, where you live, etc. Then, each company I’ve looked at has like 5-10 different tiers to choose from.

This is really good and covers a ton of issues I work on. I wish he covered a little more on nationwide 700,000 person waiting list for Home and Community Based Services.

I was coincidentally at a State Legislative hearing on the 4 public MCOs two weeks ago.

I was waiting for this to drop to also tag @Jwheel86. I really would like his thoughts on it

All of those issues regarding SSI are shit I have to deal with (except eligibility since I've got a condition that bypasses health reviews), and more since he didn't cover the stupidity involving the various work incentive programs: my SSI 1619b Medicaid (basically the feds lie to the state about my SSI status so I can keep Medicaid even though I'm not getting an SSI check anymore) income limit is six figures (7 figures when I started Spinraza lol) but my asset limit is still $2,000, and they do check on the first of the month. Because of my job's payroll cycle, this is one of those months we're I'll have to empty my bank account to make room for my paycheck since it'll hit right before the 1st. I can get around the asset limit using my ABLE Account (a government ran bank account that's invisible to the government if you don't put too much into it (~$30k/yr) and only spend it on "Qualifying Disability Expenses" (which the IRS and SSA haven't clearly defined). What sucks about ABLE though is it takes 7 days to transfer money to and from my checking account.

North Carolina has a really good Medicaid Buy In program (no income limit, $30k asset limit), but California (where I might end up eventually)'s Medicaid Buy In program sucks ($60k income limit). So for that reason I'm sticking SSI 1619b Medicaid since it is Federal. I also don't trust the County DSS Office to get me on the Medicaid Buy In program properly, which leads to another issue Oliver kind of hit on, everyone at SSA and County DSS is fucking incompetent.

Marriage issue is super real, I've had to start every relationship with the "we can't get married talk". I have a bunch of friends who've gotten married without the paperwork.
