Commissar SFLUFAN
The "Best Expansion 2023" from PC Gamer definitely seems an appropriate choice. Best Expansion 2023: Cyberpunk 2077 – Phantom Liberty | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM CDPR's RPG finally reaches its true potential. Quote In a comeback for the ages, Cyberpunk 2077 is now one of the best RPGs you can play, and enhanced even further with this year's Phantom Liberty expansion. PC Gamer's "Game of the Year 2023" really shouldn't come as any surprise Game of the Year 2023: Baldur's Gate 3 | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Celebrating Larian's masterpiece. Quote No surprises here. Baldur's Gate 3 is the best game of the year. Today's (final?) set of "Personal Picks" comes from Joshua Wolens (News Writer) and Andy Edser (Hardware Editor) Anime finance sim Stonks-9800 is the best game you didn't play this year | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Yeah, Baldur's Gate 3 is pretty good, but I didn't cut even one shady deal with the Yakuza in it. Quote In another world, I'm Michael Douglas standing on a beach, barking monologues into a phone you could knock out a horse with. My life revolves around blue chips, bulls, and bears, and when the cholesterol in my arteries hardens and kills me—bursting like the blood-fattened parasite I am—they will bury me in my suspenders. In another world. It's probably for the best that I don't live in that world, as they would assuredly and rightly take my head when the revolution comes, but that doesn't mean I don't love to get a taste of it every now and then. The world of high finance is exotic and alluring and alien to me, a man who whispers a little prayer every time he submits a meter reading, and I'm invariably hooked whenever games give me a chance to dip a toe into it. Take it as the recommendation of a connoisseur, then, when I tell you Stonks-9800: Stock Market Simulator is my favourite game I played all year. Reasons why I love Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun—you are Space Marine, Space Marine go stomp, chaos men explode | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Sometimes all it takes is some big stompy boots and a very large gun. Quote Call me cynical if you must, but when a game attempts to tickle my nostalgia receptors my usual reaction is not one of joy, but outright suspicion. Be they boomer shooters, pixel-graphic platformers or otherwise, these attempts to appeal to my childhood can really raise my hackles. My reasoning is simple: Nostalgia can be such an easy way to elicit an emotional response towards something that might otherwise be, for want of a better term, not very good. And then came Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. And my frozen heart melted.

Commissar SFLUFAN
GOTY 2023: Sea of Stars | GodisaGeek.com WWW.GODISAGEEK.COM It's official, Sea of Stars is the GodisaGeek GOTY of 2023. It took sixteen hours of podcasting, and this wonderful RPG came out on top Quote It took us longer than ever this year, but we finally decided what our collective GOTY was in 2023. In over sixteen hours of podcasting across five days we talked about an unprecedented number of sensational video games, but one stood above all the rest and stole our hearts – Sea of Stars. It was pretty clear even from some of the earlier days that Sea of Stars was in for a chance of winning our overall GOTY award, as it was nominated in categories like Best Audio, Best Visuals and Best Story. The heart and soul of the game Garl even won the Best New Character award outright, and deservedly so. We've Voted On Our 25 Best Games Of 2023 WWW.DUALSHOCKERS.COM We've collated our individual GOTY lists to deliver the ultimate verdict on 2023's Game of the Year. Quote 10. Diablo IV 09. Baldur's Gate III GameCrate’s 2023 Game of the Year is Baldur’s Gate 3: A Dungeon Master’s perspective WWW.GAMECRATE.COM Insert surprised Kirk (but as Astarion) gif here. Quote Seriously, who’s surprised that GameCrate would choose Baldur’s Gate 3 as our Game of the Year pick? We gave it a perfect 10 when it came out. It won a ton of awards at The Game Awards this year (and was nominated for even more). But, what made Baldur’s Gate 3 so great? As a Dungeon Master for the majority of my life, I feel that it’s got to be the accuracy of Baldur’s Gate 3 to the real Dungeons and Dragons that sets it apart from the rest of the contenders. I have around 100 hours into this game, personally, so I definitely can see the charm. I originally wanted to write this article in the third person, keep it clean, and give some bullet points on what the original GameCrate reviewer thought of the game back in August. But, then, I considered that I may have a unique thought process about Baldur’s Gate 3, having played a vast number of DnD games in my youth (Who are we kidding? My adulthood as well.) and having run more campaigns at a table than I can count. The Best Video Games of 2023 COGCONNECTED.COM OH, what a year. 2023 was densely packed. It wasn't easy, but we did the hard work and decided the 10 best games of 2023. Quote 10. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor 09. Sea of Stars 08. Resident Evil 4 Remake 07. Hogwarts Legacy 06. Lies of P 05.
