Commissar SFLUFAN
Quote Since the Israeli military launched its offensive on the Gaza Strip on Saturday morning, nearly 100 Palestinian children have been killed, says Defense for Children International – Palestine. At least 91 Palestinian children in Gaza have been killed by Israeli airstrikes, and Israeli forces have shot and killed five Palestinian boys in the occupied West Bank, the child rights group said. Several entire families were obliterated, including the Shaban children: 11-year-old Omar, seven-year-old Batoul, 10-year-old Ghada, and baby Ahmad, DCI-Palestine added. Quote Mohammed Abu Mughaiseeb, a medical referent for Doctors Without Borders in Gaza, warns that the territory’s health system could collapse in the coming days due to power cuts imposed by Israel. “There are as well now cuts in the telecommunication and internet in several areas,” Abu Mughaiseeb told Al Jazeera as explosions sounded in the background. If things do not calm down, he warned, “I think the situation will collapse in the hospitals.” He added that there is “no safe place” in Gaza. “The civilians who were injured or killed, they are collateral damage, and then they will be numbers — just numbers, added numbers.”

Moussa Abu Marzouk told Al Jazeera in a phone interview that Hamas was open to “something of that sort” and “all political dialogues” when asked whether the group is willing to discuss a possible ceasefire. He also said that Hamas had captured ‘tens’ of dual-citizens from Israel, including those with Russian and Chinese citizenship.

They can achieve maybe one or two of these, but all three? Impossible.

Commissar SFLUFAN
Egypt intelligence official says Israel ignored repeated warnings of ‘something big’ WWW.TIMESOFISRAEL.COM Cairo official says Israel focused on West Bank instead of Gaza; Egypt's spy chief said to warn PM of 'terrible operation,' Netanyahu's office denies Quote Mounting questions over Israel’s massive intelligence failure to anticipate and prepare for a surprise Hamas assault were compounded Monday when an Egyptian intelligence official said that Jerusalem had ignored repeated warnings that the Gaza-based terror group was planning “something big” — which included an apparent direct notice from Cairo’s intelligence minister to the prime minister. The Egyptian official said Egypt, which often serves as a mediator between Israel and Hamas, had spoken repeatedly with the Israelis about “something big,” without elaborating. He said Israeli officials were focused on the West Bank and played down the threat from Gaza. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is made up of supporters of West Bank settlers who have demanded a security crackdown there in the face of a rising tide of violence over the last 18 months. “We have warned them an explosion of the situation is coming, and very soon, and it would be big. But they underestimated such warnings,” the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to discuss the content of sensitive intelligence discussions with the media, told The Associated Press. In one of the said warnings, Egypt’s Intelligence Minister General Abbas Kamel personally called Netanyahu only 10 days before the massive attack that Gazans were likely to do “something unusual, a terrible operation,” according to the Ynet news site. Unnamed Egyptian officials told the site they were shocked by Netanyahu’s indifference to the news and said the premier told the minister the military was “submerged” in troubles in the West Bank. The Prime Minister’s Office denied the reports in a statement Monday, claiming they were a “complete lie.” “No early message came from Egypt and the prime minister did not speak or meet with the intelligence chief since the establishment of the government — not indirectly or directly. This is completely fake news,” the statement read.

Commissar SFLUFAN
From Al Jazeera: Quote Al-Qassam: No negotiations over captives while under fire Some new comments from the spokesperson for Hamas’s al-Qassam Brigades, which earlier said that it would “execute” one Israeli captive each time Israel conducts an air attack on a civilian building without issuing a warning. The spokesman, Abu Ubaida, said that al-Qassam would “not negotiate the issue of prisoners [while] under fire”, and said that “threats and pressure” would not succeed in pushing the group to negotiate. Abu Ubaida added that Israel had to be ready to “pay the price” if it wanted the captives to be returned. This is a distinct change in tone from the earlier statement which could be indicative of an internal debate within Hamas leadership or the application of external pressure from patrons such as Qatar. Commissar SFLUFAN
This post on ResetERA certainly raises an interesting, entirely plausible scenario: Quote Just a thought about Hamas offering a ceasefire while Iran giving possibly support if not greenlight in the attack; what if Hamas Political Leadership in Qatar isn't in control and Iranians where coordinating with Hamas's (& Hezbollah) Military Wing? I mean it's totally possible that Hamas Leadership in Qatar probably do not have control of Hamas' Military Wing which launched the attack with the blessing of the IRGC/Iran? Well yeah its a complete failure on his part but people have a tendency to rally around the flag when their country is attacked and even leftist peaceful Israelis want blood right now. 9/11 was a complete failure by Bush but that didn't stop his popularity from going through the roof. The judiciary issue will be washed away and he probably will be granted even new far reaching powers. His consolidation on power will be complete very soon.
