An IDF spokesman told CNN this weekend: "I'm sure there were innocent Germans too."

There's also this one:

Israel's minister of national security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, said the only thing that should enter Gaza until the hostages are released are “hundreds of tons of explosives” from the Israeli Air Force, "not an ounce of humanitarian aid.”

From NBC News:

Hamas says it's willing to release all civilian hostages immediately if Gaza bombing stops

Quote

A senior Hamas official told NBC News' Richard Engel that the group is willing to immediately release all civilian hostages — foreign and Israeli — if Israel stops its airstrikes on Gaza.

The Hamas official said the hostages could be released within the hour as long as Israel meets its terms. He claimed that there is no safe place to release the hostages now.

In exchange for the release of Israeli soldiers held hostage, the Hamas official said Israel must release all Palestinians held in Israeli jails.

The Hamas official also claimed that the U.S. and Israel are already aware of its terms for the release of civilian hostages, because the militant group revealed them in its conversations with the leaders of several Arab countries.

Hamas was keeping Palestinians from evacuating so yeah I don't trust a word they say on the Palestinian "Official" (Hamas) side.

NPR interviewed a member of Hamas this morning and it was really frustrating. At first it sounded as if he was denying that Hamas killed any civilians at all. When the journalist pressed back with facts that Israeli civilians were killed by Hamas based on a lot of evidence, he basically said 'what about Israel, it's war'. His answer on why Hamas was telling Palestinians to not evacuate didn't really convince me either. A lot of bullshit being spewed out there from all sides in this thing.

Per the IDF:

Quote

From the analysis of the operational systems of the IDF, an enemy rocket barrage was carried out towards Israel, which passed through the vicinity of the hospital when it was hit.

According to intelligence information, from several sources we have, the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization is responsible for the failed shooting that hit the hospital.

Seems like something an American satellite should be able to confirm pretty easily.

Ehhhh - satellites aren't particularly well-suited for this type of analysis.  Far more definitive data would be derived from ADS-B/beacon transponder signals to determine what IAF aircraft were on-station at the time of the strike, but  those would be deactivated for a combat mission.

The Washington Post has posted a video that they claim to have verified as the moment of the strike and it really, really does sound like an AGM.

President Biden was scheduled to visit Israel on Wednesday to show solidarity and address the growing humanitarian needs of civilians in Gaza.

Breaking the rule because no one else is doing this on another platform.

This twitter thread includes some preliminary analysis that indicates a Hamas rocket motor failed and the rocket fell into the vicinity of the hospital:

EDIT: And all this assumes this is the right video.

The noise in the Washington Post video sounds far too close to an object with actual propulsion than one whose momentum/velocity is due to falling for me to immediately dismiss the possibility that it was one of the Israeli intercept munitions.

Fuck that. HAMAS fired the rocket that hit the hospital and now they are using it to rally people against Israel as if they targeted it. Hamas has been firing rockets way before last week.

This is far from confirmed.

As Cayce said it’s not confirmed but I find this far more plausible than the IDF doing it. Outside of my example earlier.

Hamas gains support when Palestine’s die, Israel losses support, so the IDF deliberately targeting a hospital on is,  pardon my French, fucking dumb

On the other end of things, this explosion seemed more massive than any Hamas rocket before.

So either Hamas developed the most powerful rocket in their arsenal and had a mishap while launching it.

Or the country that has made a habit of carpet bombing Gaza dropped a bomb on a hospital.

Or they orchestrated it

what are the odds part of the rocket fell on the hospital and Israel simultaneously dropped a bomb on the hospital

The IAF striking the hospital doesn't even necessarily have to be the result of "deliberate" targeting.  It could just as easily have occurred due to "careless" or "negligent" targeting.

A professional Air Force will know where the “do not hit” targets are. Hell we weren’t even allowed to fire in general directions, unless acting in self defense. I find it dubious a pilot would make that kind of mistake.
