Keyser_Soze
While we are getting on @Greatoneshere's case. I found it a bit funny that he explained to Cnut, someone who has not seen many movies, by describing more movies she probably hasn't seen.
TUFKAK
This thread has demonstrated there are a lot movies I need to see.
silentbob
Shit load of movies I haven’t seen and most mentioned here from Hughes, Goodfellas, Trainspotting and pretty much any mafia/gangster flick. Tons of which I did buy on disc and still somewhere in my house. Funny thing is that one of my old projectionist buddy’s wife worked on Boogie Nights. It was either her or her friend that was responsible for 🍆 in Boogie Nights
Keyser_Soze
Also based on past framed failures a lot of you still need to see Koyaanisqatsi

Not the same story or characters but if you liked Goodfellas you probably will like Casino. I'm in the minority but I prefer Casino. We watched it for the first time last year. I was impressed by how much I enjoyed it! I thought it would be a lesser Goodfellas, but it's its own thing, and the ending blew me away due to one of the actors (everyone knows who if they saw it). Great film.
SaysWho?
Amadeus is classic. We watched it in 8th grade, and it was exactly what most people here were expecting -- "Oh god why do we have to... whoa, wtf, this is awesome." 10 hours ago, Keyser_Soze said: I haven't seen a Pixar movie past Up (except for Brave) I haven't seen a James Bond movie beyond Die Another Day Chinatown I'm gonna kick your ass.

Well I figure she's probably at least heard of some of the other movies mentioned which should help instill confidence in the specific film itself. Had Mozart lived into his 60's, music as we know it might be entirely unrecognizable. He was that much of a force.

Great film, but heavy though, be ready. And since so many are mentioning them, a great film series watch is Martin Scorsese: Taxi Driver - Raging Bull - Goodfellas - Casino - Gangs of New York - The Departed - The Irishman. Then you get his entire "gangster" filmography. Though my personal favorite film by him is Silence, but it's a dense watch. Saw this for the first time a few months ago. And as time goes by I think it will become my favorite of his.

Not Scorsese but I put it in the "space" of those films. The Morricone score is one of his best. Not as good as Once Upon A Time in the West though.

Yeah, Silence is a heavy film but it might be his deepest and most mature one. 8 hours ago, thewhyteboar said: The Morricone score is one of his best. The theatrical cut is an abomination, I'm going to assume you saw the director's cut of Once Upon A Time In America?

Oh yeah. I saw the real good version. It's fantastic, but still, Once Upon a Time in the West is like a top 3 movie for me.
Massdriver
Apocalypse Now- I have a blu-ray of it somewhere, but every time I almost watched it, I didn’t feel like it. Top Gun 2- This has been the recent movie that everyone keeps telling me to watch. I plan to watch it, but haven’t felt like it.
CastlevaniaNut18
The two Top Gun movies, The Firm, and War of the Worlds are the only Tom Cruise movies I’ve ever seen.
Derek
I've never seen 'Nurse Nancy'. R.I.P. Pee Wee Herman.
