PaladinSolo
Just as polling indicated, the tax cut bill was a big loser for the GOP, especially in areas that the SALT deduction hit hardest, while doing almost nothing for them in areas that saw the most gain from it. PaladinSolo
Utah's non-partisan house map reform is also winning, which means Dems will likely have a safe blue seat in Utah in 2020 going forward. Dems also close in CA21, a race that was called last week for the republican, needs to win the last batch by a lot though.
Massdriver
Getting rid of Pelosi right now would be a mistake. She is going to be the most effective speaker Democrats could hope for. They should start looking at grooming someone to take over within the next 4 years.

I get the idea of fresh blood and it wasn’t long ago that I thought they should pick someone else, but she managed to push through cap and trade and the ACA back in 2009. Progressives could probably count on her to get behind some of their more recent efforts and she would be the best shot they have for pushing things through. That's what I heard, but if someone can provide a link to it, that'd be great. That's really what I want to see. I know Pelosi twisted a lot of arms to get things done, but I do think more young Democrats want to change things and lead and haven't been able to with the same leadership in place. PaladinSolo
So it appears official Mia Love has lost and dems picked up UT4, and the race is outside of a recount by 17 votes, lol. Non-partisan redistricting also won in UT meaning the seat is likely going to be safe dem from here on out.
