BloodyHell
https://www.nasa.gov/feature/spacesuit-for-nasa-s-artemis-iii-moon-surface-mission-debuts Pretty damn nice suit. Was shown a few days ago, but I didn't even see a post until I just decided to check the news over there on their site. BBC Video:
Mr.Vic20
As always, let's hope the performative qualities were not compromised to allow for any aspect of the aesthetic. That said, looking sharp space people!
mclumber1
Super cool. For the actual moon missions, the suits will be white, because a black suit on the moon could cause a lot of thermal issues for the wearer. It will be interesting to see how well these new suits hold up to the lunar environment. The original suits used during the Apollo moon landings were tore up from the floor up because the lunar dust was so abrasive.

Yes, because SpaceX has no history of functional space technologies. I mean, aside from one successful launch after another with commercial rockets for years now. SpaceX has done incredible engineering DESPITE Elon.
Remarkableriots
It's a good thing the Trump administration funded the Moon-to-Mars program after Obama set us back years by killing the Constellation program.

If I remember correctly, Obama provided funding for private space companies which has helped fund companies like SpaceX and Boeing. With the absurd launch cost of the SLS, if Starship’s launch cost estimates are off my a factor of 10x, it will still make it obsolete and a waste of taxpayer dollars. But we shall see!
