skillzdadirecta
Michael Giacchino Michael Giacchino To Make Feature Directorial Debut With Fresh Take On ‘Them!’ At Warner Bros DEADLINE.COM Michael Giacchino Making Feature Film Directing Debut With 'Them!' at Warner Bros Love this guy's scores and this movie was a B-movie favorite of my aunts and uncless' when I was a kid. Great cheesy fun... this will be one to watch. I always wondered if someone would start remaking these b-movie "nature gone wild' giant creature" films from the 50's-70's. silentbob
After his Werewolf by Night directing debut, I’m all for this. That was pretty much a warmup for this feature length film
EternallDarkness
I'd love a resurgence of B movies. Bring on a new Swarm movie 1

SoberChef
Being a fan of 'Night of the Lepus' & '8-Legged Freaks', this is right up my alley!! *EDIT* Let's hope that if this project does well, we get a new Blob remake!

silentbob
I love the Blob remake. I remember not being able to sleep. So I turned on my tv and this was playing late one night. I was disgusted with some of the deaths, but still in love with it. The effects are dated but still really work for me. I believe Rob Zombie was attached to a remake of a the Blob a few years back. I guess that fell through after his 2nd Halloween movie failed with everyone. At least I’m getting my Little Shop of Horrors musical remake I believe soon (ScarJo, Egerton and Evan as The Dentist) I think it’s my fav musical, got high listening to the soundtrack and see it for what it’s really about. Sure I was high, but tell me I’m wrong. The movie is about a serial killer (Seymour)battling his inner demons. Audrey is the good angel pushing him towards good and Audrey II being the devil as he starts killing again. (He feeds it his/others blood) I say again, because he was adopted as an orphan. It’s Dexter The Musical.

I grew up with this one because it was a rental store cheapie. I must've rented it about five times total. And I wish I was kidding now but I totally idolized that Brian dude in the movie and was obsessed with getting a leather jacket like that because of him lol.

BUT I also haven't seen any of the later remakes/iterations so who knows!

I highly suggest you give the musical one a go sometime

Brian was cool as shit even with the curly mullet You should check out the other two versions of the Blob. By the time this one came out I had seen the other two because they were syndicated on local TV and would awlays play around Halloween. This one is definitely the best of the three. The closest thing we've gotten to a remake was that movie Lifeform from a couple of years ago... also an underrated creature feature.
