Jason
I got a little over-excited and forgot to include WHICH Sunday. My bad, title has been amended.
legend
That's some old-school promotional material! I will be interested to see how this one turns out.

Jason
Quote New Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall has been adamant that the show’s upcoming season will be all about the new. He’s said that Season 11 will consist of new monsters and new villains and act as a clean slate for new fans. And in a new interview with Radio Times, Chibnall has made this piont very, very clear: longtime fans, do not expect to see your favorite villains or recurring characters in the new season. That’s right: Chibnall revealed that Jodie Whittaker’s new Doctor will not encounter the likes of Missy, River Song, Madame Vastra, Jenny Flint, or Strax in the new 10-episode season. Not only that, but Chibnall also promised that the new batch of adventures will feature no Daleks, no Cybermen, and no Weeping Angels. So when Chibnall said "new," he really meant new. https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/doctor-who-showrunner-chris-chibnall-promises-no-daleks-no-missy-no-river-in-new-season @legend I dig it. I don't want them to be gone forever but they do need to have occasional breaks for it to keep being special/exciting to see them.

Yeah I think it can be fun to bring some characters/monsters back, but I don't think we need any of that in the first season of a new doctor and show runner. Wild
It’s welcome news they are going all fresh. I’m very excited to see what Whitaker can do. She’s a talented performer and should bring some fun wrinkles to the role. It’ll be nice that she can do so without constantly being compared to every male Doctor and how they handled the same monsters.
Mr.Vic20
I'm excited to see someone other than Moffatt at the helm! A switch to better dialog/ character driven plots over masturbatory misdirection plots would be really welcomed!
Remarkableriots
I've watched the first four seasons of modern Doctor Who and I'm loving it so far! Going to save season eleven until I catch up hopefully soon.
Mr.Vic20
Solid start, nothing Chringy! And am I ever happy the baddie wasn't a Cyberman or a Dalek!
Jason
It didn't take long to be sold on Whittaker. I hope she gets better writing than Capaldi did.
Wild
That was a ton of fun. She’s going to be great.
Remarkableriots
They should have made it easier to watch the episodes/specials in order.
NeoJoe
I love her as the new doctor! I really enjoyed the first two episodes and love the new theme and TARDIS!
Jason
Why do people in these kinds of shows insist on trying to outrun the crashing ship instead of trying to run out of its path?
Jason
Good episode overall but it kinda felt like they failed to stick the landing. Why is letting the mama spider suffocate to death more humane than just putting it out of its misery? This kind of thing made more sense where the Doctor was kind of just a hypocrite about refusing to personally use a gun but letting other people use them when appropriate.
