Jason
Quote A federal probe into whether the head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Brock Long, improperly used his government car to commute from Washington to his home in North Carolina has been referred to prosecutors for possible criminal charges, according to a person familiar with the matter. Quote The person said Long was also under investigation for improperly using motorcades during the drives to North Carolina and putting aides up in hotels. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-fema/probe-of-fema-chief-referred-to-prosecutors-source-idUSKCN1LY04C

TwinIon
Using a government car to commute and putting aides up in hotels (assuming they're there for a government purpose), seem like things that I might have assumed were allowed. The article says the commute thing would have been allowed if it was <= 50 miles. For the other stuff, not sure, it I'd guess it was something like using government money to pay for what should have been paid out of campaign funds.
