SaysWho?
They're all already on PS4, which is why it's not included in the title, and I think a few of them are already on Steam, but overall, all platforms will have the following games. Yes, it's missing VIII.
Biggie
That’s a lot of Final Fantasy. Some might say too much.

Keyser_Soze
All of these are on PC I think this announcement is just for Xbone and Switch. (Well the ones on the bottom anyway)

dualhunter
The big question for me concerning versions of FFVII is do the vocals play for One Winged Angel? Are the PC versions the only ones that have the boosters? They really help with the more tedious aspects of these games.

The wonky art style works for FFVII and FFIX, but VIII tried a semi-realistic approach and the last time I tried to play it, it was pretty rough. I'll also go on record as saying that VIII was probably my least liked out of all of them. The muppet baby angle was a bit much.
dualhunter
Maybe they couldn't get Chocobo World to run I'm surprised Nintendo is letting them put FFX on Switch given how Lulu's Overdrive works
Paperclyp
8 is awesome even if it’s broken as shit. Perhaps theyre doing a remaster of it??

TwinIon
With the PS4 remaster of 7 probably still coming out eventually, it's hard to be interested in that. I've played through X a couple times, which is rare for me, but I don't really have any desire to do it again. I never did play 9, maybe I'll give that one a chance. CastlevaniaNut18
IX is fantastic and my favorite behind VI. I might consider buying it again for Switch. I have little faith they're not going to totally screw up the remake of VII. I imagine the battle system will be completely reworked to resemble to modern FF games and that would be terrible to me. crispy4000
Like with the PSP/Vita, the PSone FF's should be nice to have on a portable screen.
Paperclyp
Aren’t the PC versions currently like ports of the mobile versions? I dont want those if so.

projectmayhem
FF8 is the best one. Also that mobile port of 9 on Steam is very good.

The remake of 7 really does not sound like the same game. Last I read they were making it into an action game instead of turn based rpg. The boosters make getting rare steals take less time and there's an easier way to win the jump rope minigame.

MarSolo
A cool as this is, I want Final Fantasy VI on the Switch. The Gameboy Advance Version was amazing but I lost my charging cable for the GBA SP and don't feel like buying a new one. Plus, the backlighting on the SP was terrible anyways. I think the main things you need to enjoy FFVIII are to know how the rank system works for pay days (the max gil booster will make it so you don't even need to worry about that) and how the card game works. It also helps to play Chocobo World on the PC version, let it run until it maxes out the items and then backup your save so that you can keep importing it back into the main game so that you don't have to farm as many items (if the updated PC version has an all items booster like FFX/X-2 you can skip it). A potential downside of the PC version is a certain part where you have to input buttons according to on screen prompts if you're not using an Xbox controller. It was a pain on the old PC version where the prompts were for B1, B2, B3, etc.
