Dre801
Seems like a damn good first effort. Caveats being that you need ReBar and DX 12 for optimal performance.
Guest
Sounds like Intel really went hard for RT performance. Interesting.
AbsolutSurgen
Not sure there is really a reason to pick these over the alternatives.
Dre801
AMD really needs to step up their Ray Tracing game. First gen Intel Ray Tracing kills theirs.

The $329-350 A770 goes toe-to-toe with the $450-500 3060 Ti.

If you're after price, why wouldn't you go 6600XT. How does A770 compete with a 3060TI with DLSS turned on?

Spork3245
I don’t think the 6600xt was the best card to pick as an alternative, btw.
stepee
I agree with Spork, this is actually a pretty good entry in its range. There is also Xess as far as DLSS is concerned, not as good or supported yet, but it’s not as simple as dlss vs native

Plus for cards this weak unless u have DLSS I'd avoid ray tracing. The Arcs need resizable BAR support as well so if someone in this price range wants a card the 6600XT and 6650XT are the better buys. Don't need a new CPU/mobo, don't need to worry about the unknown of Intel drivers, etc.
crispy4000
The problems with older games are the biggest dealbreaker, IMO. Anything without a 12 on this list could run like dogshit.
cusideabelincoln
I'm very much interested in seeing how driver updates improve performance over time. AMD was able to squeeze more performance out of GCN and RDNA after they first released. With the amount of transistors Intel has in these GPUs, there's potential for massive improvements. They disagree with actual numbers? Weird. RT, at “medium”, is providing playable fps in most games at 1080p with it… sooo… 8 hours ago, Zaku3 said: The Arcs need resizable BAR support as well so if someone in this price range wants a card the 6600XT and 6650XT are the better buys. If you’re running something older, sure, this card isn’t for you.
