Emblazon
Eesh, paltry battery life increase. Perfectly content to stay with my X.
ort
Unless they have some sort of surprise coming, this surely is the least exciting year-over-year iPhone upgrade yet. Has there been a peep about 3D Touch yet? I'm only half paying attention while I'm at work. It wasn't mentioned on the graphic with all of the features spelled out. Emblazon
Lol. They pimped up the budget phone as the one more thing.

Ouch, only come in Cellular and go for $699 for the 40mm and $749 for the 44mm...
ort
No fancier chargers with the new phones either. The "R" model gets the best battery life of the all... No more headphone dongle included in the box either. $1449 for a 512 GB iPhone Tennis Max...

ort
I mean seriously though... if you aren't a "plus" person and have no interest in the Tennis Max... what are the year over year advantages on the base model phone? A faster processor... Meh... A slightly better camera? Meh... Slightly better screen? Meh... A little more waterproof? Meh... Anything else that will matter one lick to 99.9% of the population? I'm drawing a blank...
RedSoxFan9
I have the 7+ and would like a phone that isn’t as wide but $1149 for 256 gb Xs is kinda gross
ort
Yeah, I have an 8+ that I bought with the intention of keeping for 3 years... and nothing I saw today was compelling enough to make me change my mind.
Emblazon
There's zero reason not to go with the XR. I will say the X design is significantly better than all the iPhones with home buttons. If you don't already have an X, it's more than worth the upgrade to one of the three X models just for the UI and Face ID.
CastlevaniaNut18
I want to upgrade, but these prices. Maybe I'll look into the XR, see how gimped it is compared to the other models.

CastlevaniaNut18
Honestly, I think I'd be fine with a 64gb phone. I just checked and I've got about 95gb of free space on my 128gb 7 Plus. I dunno what people are putting on their phones they need 512gb of space.
legend
I'm deeply annoyed that to get the smallest screen size I have to pay more. I don't want a giant fucking phone. My 6 barely fits in my pockets as it is. 1 hour ago, Emblazon said: There's zero reason not to go with the XR. I will say the X design is significantly better than all the iPhones with home buttons. Per feature, sure, but isn't the reason to pay less if you don't care about the rest? Disregard, I misread.

Brian
I’ll probably get the new Apple Watch. I like the new health features.
CastlevaniaNut18
Yeah, the new watches are super intruiging. I don't like the price, but maybe I'll use the cash I get from my in-laws at Christmas to splurge on one, like I did with my current watch. I just wish the screens were a little more scratch resistant. My series 2 is looking kind beat up.
Massdriver
I'm sticking with my iPhone 7 plus for another year. The cpu improvements don't seem all that great, and I was hoping for a 120 Hz refresh rate screen. If I bought one, it would be the 128 gb xr.
